I absolutely LOVE this light fixture! The wood pieces that hang are absolutely beautiful, the fixture itself is the perfect size to replace the builder-grade "nipple" lights that's were initially installed. Installation of this fixture was simple and not overwhelming (just requires a little time and patience to affix the wood pieces, but the photos in the instructions provide a good guide). The fixture gives off great light and the overall design works very well with my earth toned/ Safari-like theme! Living space, nursery, bedroom, or office.... I would highly recommend this product!! I got this because of the unique look of the light with the wood blocks as a chandelier. I used this for a kitchen light and wanted something that was different than a usual boring basic light that didn't come down too low because the ceiling isn't very high. This fit the bill. It was easy enough to install, I also installed my bathroom light so I knew what to expect. It gives enough light, I wish it was brighter but it will be ok because I like the style. The blocks are real wood with a rich reddish tone and you have to attach them piece by piece, not a big deal but there is some assembly. I've never seen a light quite like this style which is exactly what I was looking for. It's like an upscale log cabin shabby chic look. Read more
This light was pretty easy to assemble/mount although it came with no instructions. I had to watch the video that was attached to the item on Amazon to see how it was installed. You will need to remove the center support bracket from the light and mount it to the junction box of your existing light fixture. Then attach the ground wire to the ground wire in the junction box, or attach it to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket. Then, attach black to black and white to white, cap the ends and mount the fixture to the bracket. The most tedious part was attaching the hanging wood pieces, but it was pretty simple. The video showed the lady attaching the wood pieces before she mounted the light, but mount the light first and save attaching the wood pieces for last. It takes any type bulbs, but would look better, in my opinion, with LED bulbs. Read more
