Feit Electric A19 TR LED 4 5W Dimmable Red LED Light Bulb

We've tried all types of "insect repelling" light bulbs outside, even the dark yellow ones...and we still get creepy June bugs, mosquitoes, and other flying insects. Decided to try these pretty blue lights, and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! Bright for us to see, or for delivery persons to see our address, and NO INSECTS! SO nice! And super pretty! We have 2 porch light, plus one over our garage. Our house happens to be painted a deep steel blue, so the lights are very complementary. Also, it's really easy to find our house at night when you're looking for the pretty blue lights. We use them all year, and they look classy as well as fun! Before I bought the blue bulb here, I had already got a green one, from a big box store, so I figured unless it was a fluke that this would be good. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the richness of this blue light. The charm of these bulbs is that the glass is clear and the LED strip is ordinary looking, until you turn on the bulb. Then it floods the air with color. This is because the LED itself, not the bulb glass, is the source of the color, which is intense and accurate in hue. These also have no large white base, but look just like an old fashioned incandescent bulb, except the "filament" is thicker. This is a blue black light Edison bulb. I enjoyed using it in my bedroom at night because it's easier on the eyes then my overhead bedroom lights. So far they've had a great lifespan. Great bulb quality and functionality. Read more

I don't know why these companies have such a hard time making a light that is actually Red (not Orange/Red)?! This bulb is definitely much less orange than the Phillips "Red" bulb it's replacing, but it's still not true Red. Sadly, the most truly Red bulb I've ever found was a Walmart brand, but they're constantly out of stock (probably cause they're so good?!). Anyway. Guess it gets Value for Money points cause it didn't cost much & hopefully cause of the brand name it should have a good lifespan. Fingers crossed! Read more

We put these in our bedroom for help with our circadian rhythms. Maybe it's placebo, but at the very least it's relaxing. I love that it's an actual red filament. We turn them on around 10 PM every day and start winding down. We've been using them for a month now with zero issues. Read more
