This product was unexpectedly cool (I probably should have read more details). However, this is what happened, I screwed in the bulb and the light was soooooo yellow. In a very bad way. I was like, crap, now I have to live with this or return. But then I read on the box that you could set the light to different “temperatures”. So I set it to daylight using a switch on the side of the lightbulb. 💡 I plug it back in, and boom! Clear and bright lighting, not a yellow tinge in sight. We purchased these for an outdoor patio addition. We didn't want to have to install another wall switch/control panel to be able to dim or adjust brightness of the lights, and were not interested in other types of remote-control capabilities (e.g., by voice or WiFi), so did a bit of research and found these. One of the color and lumen outputs matched the fan/light combo unit we were having installed, and these worked perfect for our canned/recessed fixtures. We impressed our electricians on the job as they hadn't seen these kind of light bulbs before. Hoping that they last for a long time, but thus far, we're very impressed with the quality for the price. We have not encountered any flickering or malfunction of any kind with these units. Current 2 LEDs of 60W each was not giving enough brightness. So, thought of upgrading to 100W - but was not sure if 100W will be too bright. So, got this adjustable one - and I was right - we needed just 80W and the dimmer adjusted perfectly. So, it works well with the dimmer and can adjust the color to the tone you like. Only drawback is, you need to physically remove the bulb to adjust the color. These light bulbs much lighter compared to the old ones it is replacing and that one is not even color adjustable.
