If you want a really good, nice keyboard wrist rest, look no further. First off, as other reviewers have said, DO NOT expect it to be as soft as a memory foam pillow or bed. It's firmer than that; it's a support item, it's supposed to help you comfortably keep your wrists in an ergonomic typing position. It's soft enough to do that job perfectly. It resets back to the original shape when you're done, and since it's memory foam, it's not apt to leak out gel in a few months. The bottom is very well made, with a non-adhesive yet grippy surface. Don't put it down on a dirty surface, or stuff WILL stick to it (I have a little dust on mine already). It won't affect the grip, but obviously, for cleanliness... it sticks well, and I've tested it on a couple painted desk surfaces without adverse effect. Overall, great buy if your keyboard isn't curved at the bottom, and much better than the wrist wrest included in the majority of keyboards today. Worth the price. Oh, it's a little bit wider than my Filco Majestouch 104-key Tactile Touch NKRO (for those of you in on nerd speak, 104-key means it's a US-layout keyboard WITH number pad). Not unnacceptably- under a half an inch on either side). Better wider than too narrow, but if you have a "tenkeyless" keyboard (a keyboard without numberpad), it's gonna be a couple inches too wide. I really like this wrist pad. It is very comfortable for typing. For me it is long enough to span the length of the keyboard (Apple's wireless keyboard) and the mouse next to the keyboard. This was a plus for me because I was able to buy a plain cheap mouse pad, not that did not have the built in wrist support separate form the keyboard wrist support. I would not recommend using this if you do have a mousepad with the built in wrist support unless you keep it in a different location besides right next o the keyboard. I also like the anti-slip material on the bottom. It grips very well but does not stick to the surface so it will not damage the surface that it's resting on. The anti-slip material does tend to collect some dirt/dust on it but it wipes clean pretty easily. It is a little narrow as some reviewers have commented on, but I don't find this problematic. The foam is a little firm but still has that give to it that helps to support your hands/wrists. The foam returns to it's original shape fairly quickly once the pressure is lifted. It's almost 20 inches long. Smooth high quality lycra, soft against my skin for all day use. Stays in place, doesn't slide around your desk. I've tried 4 desk ergo-wrist supports over the past several months and they have all been a disappointment. Except for this one. I have carpal tunnel and wrist pain from an injury so I alternate using a wireless keyboard and my laptop. I needed something longer and this is almost 20 inches. This is a true SMOOTH Lycra. It feels good against my skin, which is important when I'm using it all day and night, sometimes. The others were distractingly rough and scratchy, the sound was annoyingly loud too. It stays in place, doesn't slide around at all. The sticky bottom, which is repositionable - not permanent, just wipe it if it's dirty, once I set it where I wanted it. I have not had to reposition it since one time in 2 weeks. I'm so glad I tried this one, I'd almost given up. Definitely worth the price, I bought cheaper ones and one that wrapped around the desk edge that kept falling off, I wanted to throw it away but returned it at 3 times this cost. Read more
My previous rest was the same brand, but made of gel. It lasted forever, but eventually started to get a bit battered. I was afraid to get a new one made of gel because the reviews for the new ones are not good. I tried this one made of fabric. It's smooth and sticks well to the desk. It's comfortable and doesn't collect lint. My only reason for knocking off one star is the shape. The gel one was a little more rounded on the top and I prefer that shape to this fabric one which is flatter on top - but it's long enough and I use it every day and if you never had a fabric one, you should try it! I bought this hoping it would be both longer and wider than the wrist rest I had been using. It's longer, but was disappointed to find the width is thinner than my old wrist rest. Keeping it because the longer length at least covers the entire length of my full-size keyboard, which my older one didn't. Read more
I have had a Das Keyboard 4 Professional Soft Tactile MX Brown Mechanical Keyboard (DASK4MKPROSIL) for a little over a year and have been on the hunt for a quality keyboard wrist rest to go with it. I previously purchased the ALLSOP Memory Foam Keyboard Wrist Rest (30205) and found that it attracted dirt (cloudy white stains) and that the foam actually shrank inside the cover after washing to the point where it was nearly unusable. To replace that item, I bought the Fellowes Memory Foam Wrist Rest and I am quite pleased with it so far. At nearly 20 inches, it is a bit wide for my particular keyboard, but the height, firmness of support, and vertical length are perfect for my working surface. The outer material is a smooth and silky yet durable fabric and the memory foam inside is firm, supportive and satisfying to rest my palms and wrists on between typing sessions. The bottom of this item is a glossy and sticky surface that grips onto most flat surfaces and can be cleaned to retain it's sticky properties with a little water and soap.
