I recently got a remote job and wanted an adjustable standing desk. I was skeptical at first because of the price, but it exceeded my expectations. I already had a corner desk with a thick 25mm solid wood top and was unsure if it would work with these adjustable legs. I decided to give it a try. I disassembled my old desk, laid out the top, and attached it to the new legs. Everything fit perfectly and feels very stable. I also like the openness of this desk compared to my old one that had a back. I customized it further by 3D printing brackets to organize my cables and it works great. I would not describe myself as an "assembly required" person, but my best friend is. She was able to put this desk together in less than 1.5 hours. I was then able to set 3 different height adjustments (for my particular needs) in less than 5 minutes from reading the directions; there is an option for 4 different settings. To conserve energy I unplug the desk when it is not in use. As soon as I plug it back up, it digitally displays the height of the last setting. I work from home - even before the pandemic. I noticed that after sitting about 1.5-2 hours I would stand up and get dizzy. Now I alternate between sitting and standing every half and I do not have that health concern any longer. I am more animated when I stand and I think my students are even enjoying their lessons more because of it. This brand is top-notch because of the quality and the sturdiness of the desk. Moreover, it is reasonably priced. There is a spacious drawer with so much desk space that I have room for a desk calendar, a 32-inch monitor, a laptop, a large desk organizer, plus, I have room to write my notes. First off, the biggest draw back is the split work surface. Mine is not closed sufficiently. I loosened the screws on one side once it was assembled and put some glue in the seam and used wood clamps to clamp the surface together. The seam is perceptible, but really not a huge problem unless you are using a single sheet of paper to write across the seam. This is not a writing desk for calligraphy. But a $500 - $600 55" desk if that is what you are looking for. Other than that it is a very sturdy desk, the mechanism is quiet and smooth, with 3 programmable heights. Assembly is simple. Anyone who has ever assembled furniture knows to look at the diagrams close and make sure all the parts are facing the right way. I am particularly happy that the parts that exist in right and left pairs are identical and not mirror images of each other. It is a good design. The drawer is cheap fabric and really just for a pen and such. A ream of paper will not be supported. THIS IS A BUDGET ITEM. As such, I am very happy with it. I had a regular shaped standing desk for a few years that I inherited from my wife and used when I began working from home. It blew during this lightning storm so I had to go on the search for a new one. I have been so pleased with this el desk I can fit so much more on there, and I'm a hoarder so let me tell you I really stack the stuff on there too.
