Best dishwasher detergent

This is the best formula dishwasher detergent. I prefer the classic packs with the dissolvable plastic wrap, but I can't find those anymore. These foil wrapped packets are annoying to unwrap, but really not that big of deal. I never had an issue with any clogging or effectiveness with those disolvable plast wrapped tabs. I'm not sure how dirty everyone elses dishes are to necessitate using the quantum and thos other premium gel pack line finish, but I tried those once and although they were effective cleaners, they left an incredibly strong after-smell and some taste, especially on plastic dishes. These tabs have always cleaned appropriately and leave no smell or taste afterwards. I had to return them to Costco after using a couple. Of the hundreds (or low thousands?) of these tabs I've used, I've only had maybe a handful of dishes that didn't come out clean. But that could also be how the washer was loaded, how old the food was, etc. I'll keep buying these as long as they continue to be made and sold for a reasonable price. Read more

We used to use Finish pods but switched to these that are foil wrapped after everything in the news about microplastics (you do kinda have to wonder where the plastic coating dissolves). These work just as well in our dishwasher - clean dishes, no spots. Read more

Finish Powerball is my favorite dishwaher cleaner. It cleans well, does not leave a weird smell after the wash, and is safe. I had issues with one of the liquid pod from another brand.
