I'm very impressed with the new finish pods. We have very very hard water. It's 50 grains/gallon. In case you don't know grains, that's 1.5 grams in ONE GALLON. I'm guilty of letting the salt in the softener run out too often. I always use the newest product my favorite brands make. I wasn't impressed with the platinum pods. They were touchy. You have to have the filter perfectly clean and the dishes had to be perfectly loaded. These are awesome because I don't have to think about how I load it. My favorite part so far, if one or two plates don't get completely clean, it doesn't leave a film on all the dishes in the machine. Don't know how or why, but I like it! The glasses actually look clean, so I feel better about how clean they actually are. I dry my hands very well before even opening the container because once I didnt with the platinum pods and once one starts to dissolve, it dissolves the one next to it. You can imagine how that goes. Luckily it happened to me when I had less than 10 pods left. Dry your hands well, don't make the same mistake. The smell is very clean smelling when you first open the dishwasher especially when it's hot. I'm impressed how well it handles my hard water. These Finish Ultimate Pods work very well & I would have given them 5 stars But….the packaging is not easy to use With other products I have simply reached under the sink, flipped open the top a little bit & get a pod and put down the container lid never having to take the container out. With Finish the container lid has lock that is hard to pry open in order to lift the lid up. Then, when you do lift it up, the whole rim comes off sometimes so unless you take the container completely out from under the sink is difficult to use which means I have to bend down and take the container out from under the sink to remove a Pod and then securely put the lid back on when done to put the container back under my sink. Takes extra time & hurts my back to bend Even tho the product works Very well Unless Finish changes the packaging I don’t plan to purchase it again Read more

I have a countertop dishwasher and these pods work the best. I’ve tried the liquid/gel, powder, and plenty of other brands of pods. None work as well as Finish as well as leaving no water marks. It doesn’t matter what cycle I put it on, these pods clean the nastiest dishes with ease. My dishwasher doesn’t have a spot to put the tabs, they just get tossed in the bottom, and it works great. No weird or dank smell left behind, truly no cons in my book. Read more

My wife and mother claimed Finish was junk and they both had bad experiences with it. But when we got a new 800 series Bosch dishwater, this is what Bosch highly recommended to use and they gave two free samples. After using the samples, we've permanantly switched to this and gave away all our Cascade platinum. This works a lot better, it's finer grain, more concentrated, and just all around is the best stuff you can use IF it's what your washer recommends. That's really the key to getting the best results is to use what the manufacturer recommends. But if you've got a Bosch of any kind, make sure you add the salt if needed, and use these pods with the Finish jet dry and it works really good. Read more
