I have a Subaru Legacy and I have tried several phone mounts. I’ve tried a cup holder stand from a well known manufacturer and a gooseneck adjustable mount from Amazon vendor. I just couldn’t do with losing a cup holder and I didn’t like having to look away from traffic to see directions on my phone. I liked that this vent mount talked about being heavy duty and improved. On a whim I gave it a shot and I love it!!! I like that the hook that goes inside the vent to grab the back of the vent is metal. There are notches that locate on the front of the vent and together it grabs tight so the phone doesn’t wobble. The mounting system is very strong so I was very careful not to tighten it too much. I now have my phone in my field of view and adjusted so it faces flat directly towards me. Perfect! And, I have all my cup holders again! The only negative is the mount holds the drivers vent in one direction. The passenger center vent is not affected. It’s not a problem for me because I can adjust the left side vent to blow in my face if needed. I highly recommend this product! Read more

Nice function. The side clamps that hold the phone tight in the holder seem to work well and it is easy to release them and take your phone out. I wish I could tighten it down to the vent just a tiny bit more - the adjustment collar in the back "slips" when you get it tightened past a certain point. I guess that helps prevent damaging your car vent by accident though. It holds fairly steady while driving, but I can see slight vibration. It's not too bad though. I had to twist my phone around a bit to fit both charge cord and headphone cord past the plastic fingers on bottom (yeah, my car is old and doesn't have Bluetooth). It comes with two mounts for different types of vents, and I have found both of them useful in different vehicles, so don't throw the extra one away. Read more

The base fit perfectly against the vent grill, gripped tightly and the clamps for the phone work well. The design was well thought out and has a gap where the charger plug can be in place without interference. I only mount the phone when I need it for directions, so the holder is empty most of the time. I chose this style because it stays out of the way (doesn't use cup holder), and is not in my field of view while driving. It's mounted on the vent louvre just to the right of the steering wheel and is a perfect addition to the Gen5 Camaro. It is sturdy enough to hold the phone under normal driving on public roads & I would recommend it to friends and family. Simple, priced right and well made. Read more

This thing is great! Easy installation and holds my phone tightly in place. I have a heavy duty phone case that is too thick for most holders but it fit good in this one. It won't fall out like my other ones have. I also like the fact that when you are ready to remove your phone all you need to do is press the buttons on the side and it automatically opens. Read more

Have been using for over a year on an old 2010 CRV. Has worked great. The clamps that hold the phone on place and do thier job. Only negative is that when it doesn't have a phone in it, it rattles a bit. Read more

The media could not be loaded. It was easy to install, despite the narrow louvers on my Audi Q7. I chose the left side vent even though I’m right handed. That way it’s not blocking the cold air coming at me from the middle vent. It’s also less distracting on the left side. Read more
