A Miracle Ice Maker cure
This product is expensive, but we found it necessary in our Fischer and Paykal French door refrigerator with ice maker and water. I bought a compatible brand at first, and the ice maker kept leaking water on the ice. I broke down and ordered this official filter and decided to try it before we scheduled a repair with our appliance dealer. Well guess what....a miracle happened and the ice maker started working perfectly! I will never use a substitute filter again. Read more

Does what it should
This is an OEM water filter, so my expectations were that it would work fine, which it does. This was my first removal of the first filter and installation of a replacement, and the process was fairly simple. It was a little snug to get the filter out at first - as the parts in the adapter are all plastic, it was difficult to find that point where it would release, but not break anything [something I suspect I will keep an eye on in the future]. Once you install it, be prepared to send 12 liters of water through the filter - have something on hand, as you run water in cycles of 4 liters, wait 4 minutes, then repeat, and repeat. Then wait 2 hours. So, if you're looking to jump right back in, you need to be patient. This does not require soaking before installation [as was my experience with other brands and water filter systems]. After install, it's been working just fine. Water tastes fine [though ours is already filtered a couple of times before it gets there]. For a twice per year expense, it's not too bad. Overall, works just fine. Read more
