These are amazing! This is my second set. The first has served as kitchen shears for the last ten years, still going strong, sharp as ever. This second set is for a trauma kit I’ll be keeping in my truck for emergency use. The two pieces separate easily without tools for cleaning and sharpening/maintenance, or use as knives individually. Pretty high quality for Fiskars and great utility. They are sharp and the little ceramic rods help keep them that way. I like the little swooshy spot on the blade that makes cutting rope easy. (I have a sailboat and have been replacing the running rigging - much cutting!) I use the wire cutter to pull the whipping needle. I haven't really used the detachable knife blade other than just fooling with it as I have a real knife, but I can see that it might be handy if the scissors were all you had within reach. I haven't used the bottle opener and am not sure why they went to such trouble to put it there, but it doesn't detract from anything. I like the hard case because it means I can just throw these scissors into my tool bag and not worry about them being damaged or damaging anything else. And yet I can withdraw the scissors from the case one-handed if I suddenly realize I need them. I have yet to figure out what that little protrusion on the bottom of the hard case is for... These shears are so handy. They come in a nice, sturdy case. The shears are perfect for everything from simple deadheading blooms to trimming back small stems and such. I have three pairs of these scissors and use them for everything. I live on a homestead so culling animals is a given from time to time. I recently started raising quail and these are perfect. One snip and that’s it! I also have a pair in my kitchen for cutting various things like bacon or chicken. I also have another pair that I use in the garden for cutting down vegetables.
