I really wanted to LOVE this and I almost do. For reference I ordered a L and I’m usually a M-L at gap or old navy This is a perfect blend of structure and comfort, it’s nice enough to pass for business casual and soft enough to be comfortable on a long plane ride. It’s flattering and a great buy…but the buttons. Huge watch out: The buttons are cheap off white plastic and totally ruin the look! Such a shame, if they were just tortoise or even black it would have been fine but these white cheap buttons kill the whole jacket. I am going to order some buttons and swap them out myself but it is absolutely worth noting because at almost $40 having to buy and replace buttons to make it wearable is a real bummer. If they upgrade these buttons (gold would be fabulous), I’d give this thing 10 stars and say it’s a fantastic value. When it comes to looking polished, nothing elevates an ensemble quite like a blazer or suit jacket. So the second I saw this cropped blazer on my screen, I didn’t need to stop to think about it before ordering it. There’s always some worry when ordering something online that its in person appearance won’t align with how it had been presented in photos. However, the images of this blazer online were accurate, and overall, it did not disappoint. This blazer is offered in several different color ways; it was difficult to decide which one to choose. Ultimately, I selected the pink, and I ordered a size large. It’s a very soft, unstructured blazer with a boxy silhouette similar to that of a pea coat. This blazer features a double breasted closure; when it is unbuttoned and open, the lapel takes on a classic shape. When buttoned, the blazer has a completely different look. It is made from a plush synthetic polyester fabric with a texture reminiscent of the knit found in many sweatshirts, down to the amount of stretch it supplies, as well as the fuzzy look and feel of the inner layer. While its pink color appears uniform from a distance, up close the shades of pink are slightly varied, similar to what is seen with space dyed colors. The fabric is thick and provides a pleasant layer of warmth during wear. There are two patch pockets on each side, both with a slight angle that increases as it moves closer to the buttons. As far as fit, the large fit as expected. It offers plenty of space for comfortable movement, and accommodates a couple substantial layers of clothing to be worn underneath. The length, while being shorter than that of a traditional blazer, would not technically qualify as being cropped. The bottom of it skims just below my waistline. It’s still short enough that it places emphasis at the waist, and it pairs perfectly with high waisted pants. Due to the lack of structure, along with the soft, sweatshirt like material, it definitely imparts a very casual look. Depending on the dress code, it could still be worn to work. But it’s better suited to off days, and worn with a t-shirt and jeans or something equally laidback. Overall, this blazer met my expectations, and in some aspects, exceeded them. Even though the fabric feels soft and comfortable, it wrinkles easily, which is an indication of a lower quality material. The assembly was flawless. Each stitch was sewn straight, every seam was aligned, and no loose threads hung from anywhere on this blazer. The workmanship was very well done, especially at this price point. The interior isn’t lined, and I wish it had just a bit more structure. Otherwise, it’s a well made, comfortable jacket; perfect for casual wear, and as an extra layer for when it’s too warm outside for a coat, but too cold to not add something for coverage and warmth. This is a piece I would highly recommend as a transitional piece that’s easy to wear, or even to have on hand while traveling, since it’s so soft and would pack well. Read more
I ordered this casual blazer for work trips. It’s perfect for a plane ride when you still need to be somewhat business like. So you can wear it open or close, the buttons are very nice, and the material is great. The arm length feels at a good place but the entire top is a little shorter. I got this blazer for my wife and she likes the classic design with the casual material. She says the blazer is soft, warm and comfortable and hard to believe is a cotton blend. It's made from slightly heavier medium-weight material that's perfect for fall and winter depending where you are. All the finishes are well done. The look is a classic and the length is just like the seller's pictures slightly cropped. It can be worn with jeans and t-shirt for a very polished casual look. The navy color is more of an imperial blue, very nice and rich. My wife has a 44 inch bust and this blazer in large size gives her about almost an inch on each side. I ordered this jacket and size large, and this fit true to size. The sleeve length was perfect for me. The material is decent quality and is a sweatshirt material, which makes it very comfortable to wear. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the cropped style, but it is actually very cute. I would’ve preferred white or gray buttons because the off-white buttons don’t really seem to go with the gray color. As cute as it is, I think it’s overpriced so not such a great value. Read more
