Fit and finish are great - the camera looks and feels OEM with no wires to manager and plug and play into the factory harness. The installation video on the box is helpful but the instructions for Honda plastic clip removal were incorrect. I had to watch a view YouTube videos on removing Honda Pilot mirror trim to figure it out - you need a right angle pick that can slot into the moulding, rotate, and pull down to remove. Watch some videos of people replacing the mirror in a Honda Pilot and you’ll see what I mean - this is typical for Honda plastic clips. Otherwise, functionality is great - the app connects quick and easy and video quality is acceptable for what I need. I really like that it records 1 minutes loops so it’s really easy to get to the spot you might need to review. This fit my 2024 Pilot just fine, not very hard to install except fishing the wire through (front camera system only). I didn't check the videos very often because it was hassle to get the app connected to my Android phone because Android Auto on my car keeps insisting on trying to connect to it but then says it's not compatible. It still tries over and over, very annoying. I eventually discovered that after shutting off the engine but not opening the door that my audio system is off but the camera is still powered and then I can connect more easily. This led to finding out the videos were not recording correctly or even at all much of the time. I corresponded with Fitcamx tech support by email and before too long they sent me a complete new kit without giving me a big runaround. This is as big plus! The new one seems to be working fine. We just bought both of our daughters new Hondas and I ordered two more of these for them. After being judged partly at fault in a collision and not having a dashcam, I'll never be without one again! It is basically as described in the product introduction. The installation is relatively simple; you just need to use a bit of force. It fits well with the car, but as some other reviews mentioned, the video quality is quite average when watching videos. Sometimes, you can't even see the license plate of the car in front clearly. I don't think the video quality is 4K. Read more
Fitcamx are the best. They look totally OEM when you install them and use the wires inside your car. This one for the Honda Pilot was a bit trickier to install, but after 30 minutes, it worked no problem. Read more
I wanted this camera to work but it didn't. This is the best looking dash cam that I have seen for my 2025 Honda Pilot because it looks like a factory setup. The installation wasn't difficult and I had the camera installed and ready for testing in short order. Then the problems started and the manual was not comprehensive enough to resolve the issues I was having. The camera appears to be defective and doesn't operate properly. It would only operate when the ignition was off. When I start the car, the wi-fi connection to the camera is lost. When the ignition is turned off, the camera remains powered on. On top of that, it disconnects AndroidAuto which is unacceptable. I use AndroidAuto for navigation, audio and phone calls. Disabling it is not an option. This camera is going back. Read more
This dash cam may have been the easiest to install of those on the market and the best thing is it looks like it is original equipment. No wires hanging around and no need to plug it into the dash. Getting the Wi Fi and app to work was pretty simple. Great quality video and easy to download and/or edit. Read more
