This is an excellent table top standing desk. I was having back & neck pain from sitting all day. I can now stand for several hours and intermittently sit. After unboxing - cut off the zip tie and the desk easily moves up & down. There’s room for 2 large monitors & my laptop on the bottom shelf. Read more

Assembly was mostly straightforward, but the desk initially would not lift even though the hydraulic pump was installed and the lever moved. It turned out the lift was still secured in shipping mode with a tight band/strap on the arm. This step was not clearly explained in the instructions and made the desk appear defective. My business is requiring more time in the office and my assigned cube was just killing my back. So I got this stand up desk convertible desktop and it is a game changer for me. I decided not to go real big as I only use one monitor and didn’t want to overcommit on pricier larger ones. At this point, I’m very happy with the size, but am also glad I did not go any smaller. This stand is big enough for a larger monitor, with extra space for a notepad and my coffee mug (an essential). The keyboard tray is big enough for a full size keyboard and a mouse, with room to spare. The vertical distance between the top shelf and the keyboard tray are not adjustable, but they are a perfect height different for my use. When lowered all the way, the keyboard tray is resting on the desktop, so the keyboard is maybe 3/4 higher than the supporting desk, and the monitor has a nice rise. Raising and adjusting the height is very easy and a pneumatic strut provides lift assistance so you are only applying a little pressure to make the lift. This is something I was very concerned about because I have sometimes strained my back by lifting something heavy way out in front of me. But this design really removes that strain. It’s also infinitely adjustable and does not have any preset heights. It takes a few minutes to assemble and had all the needed screws and tools. Read more

I have a standing desk at my job. Although I am the only one that uses it, my employer would not allow me to bring it home to use at home. I work 4 out of 5 days at home. There has to be one of us in the office each shift. I was having some serious issues at home sitting too long. I have severe arthritis in my legs and hips. Although I am up and down constantly, this particular model is great, simply because how quickly and easily it goes up. If you are tall this one is definitely for you as it raises quite higher than the one I have at work. You can set it perfectly to your height whether you are 5' or 6'2". What I like, is that there is plenty of room for my laptop which I raise on a hat box and a 2nd monitor, as well as, paperwork that I may be working on. I also really love the slot for a tablet or cell phone. What a great addition that little thing is! There is plenty of room on the keyboard holder for the mouse too. The one that I have at work, it is difficult to use the mouse on the same ledge as the keyboard. I use this same table for sewing, so this is very easy to move my set up so I can use it for something else. I really like this one better than the extremely expensive one that I have at work. The price point on this one is beyond fantastic. A word to those wanting one of these, get it, but get a standing mat too. It really is necessary when you choose to stand long to have a mat.
