The Fitville shoe is a harder shell compared to sneakers, which keeps the foot in place rather than moving in a stretchy sneaker shell. That's one of the difference I learned playing in these tennis shoes. I noticed my ASICS running shoes which I really love for jogging, walking and it's comfort, is not designed for tennis as I didn't know any better, thinking a sport shoe is multipurpose shoe. Running around playing pickleball with my sneakers, the fabric stretches and once my ankle bent a negative way, lucky I didn't break it. So I bought these Fitville tennis shoes and got so much more support as the shoe does not stretch like sneakers do and stayed with my foot, avoiding injuring my ankle. I played over a total of 40 hours of pickleball with bangers with these Fitville shoes so far and totally feel the difference in support and traction. I play pickleball on four different tennis courts: The two indoor courts are 1. a 1/4" soft floor court, 2. a wooden floor court, and the outdoor courts are 1. cement and 2. asphalt materials courts. I normally wear ASICS 12 E4 (extra wide) and I ordered the Fitville 12 extra wide tennis shoes and fits well if you need a size comparison. I order these over and over because I wear a 10.5 EEEE shoe, and the extra-wide fit me well. I go through a pair of these shoes every 4-5 months, playing 4 days a week for 2 ½ - 3 hours each time. These are very comfortable, with good ankle support. I will say they are a little heavy, so if you’re looking for minimal weight these are not your shoe. I've bought these shoes 3 times over the past few years and will continue to do so as long as they keep making them. They are nice and light and feel as good as they look. While breathable, the leather bands on each side of the shoes provide additional stability when moving about the court. This is an excellent show at a very good price. Highly recommended! Read more
