We live in a coastal area where the outlets need to be higher in case of flooding. Having the outlets visible higher up is an eyesore. This is the perfect solution! I chose the 3' length so it would hang down but not touch the floor. In our use, it hangs behind a sofa and the lamps plug in. It has 3 outlets at the end, so perfect for a couple lamps with a spare. This flat extension cord functions exactly how it’s suppose to. I recently got a new bed and where the outlet fell, it was right in line with my headboard. I really like that there’s something like this available. I ordered the 3 ft cord but it comes in several different lengths. The plate cover is pretty solid and has a slit on the side for easy grabbing on and off. It has 3 outlets available to use, which is plenty for me. I purchased this extension cord as a solution to the “snake pit” of electrical cords that power my husband’s lift recliner, floor lamp and and charging cords. I like the outlet cover that conceals the plug and wall outlet. The.cord is flat which is easy to conceal with a cord keeper.; I selected one that matches my hardwood floor and it is not noticeable. I bought this surge protector because I loved the idea of a super clean look — the flat plate covers the whole outlet, and the flat cord comes straight out so it should all look neat and streamlined. In reality, that part takes some extra work. If you want the perfectly straight line down the wall and the crisp 90° turn along the baseboard, you’ll need a raceway or some cable guide staples. It would be great if it came with wall-safe tape or a little raceway kit to help with that. That said, it does exactly what it’s supposed to: solid surge protection, plus it turns a single-gang outlet into three AC outlets. And the flat cord is definitely less bulky and unruly than a traditional round cord. It’s functional and works fine — just be prepared to add a little DIY if you’re after that showroom-perfect look. Love this flat plug! Makes everything look so much neater. I ordered two and used one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. My coffee bar needed an extra plug. For my bathroom, the shelf I have there, I always had to move to plug and unplug my dryer and irons. Much nicer than the traditional extensions and they offer several different lengths. Read more
