for 3M Rexing Adhesive Mount Holder w Additonal Adhesive Pad for in Dash Camera Better Than Original Rexing

Fit is perfect for my Rexing V1 4k dashcam. Much snugger fit onto camera than original, which I like. Having worked with 3M double stick tape many times, here are some best install tips: 1) know the area you are applying to, wipe that glass area that sticky mount will be placed, with alcohol wipe. 2) insure the alcohol on glass dissipates before proceeding. Wiping area with a new CLEAN microfiber cloth is ok. 3) peel off sticky back red protector to expose 3M tape. Don’t touch sticky tape. 4) use blow dryer, on low speed, hot setting, blow heat on sticky 3M tape. Careful heat. This will make tape gooey and stick much better. 5) reminder, do not have camera attached to mount 6) after heating tape, align and immediately apply mount in place and apply pressure for approx. 5 seconds. 7) leave camera unattached from mount for 12-24 hours for tape to set. (Cold glass in winter, 8+ hours) 8) after 12+ hours, apply camera to mount. With this procedure you should never have a problem with mount ever coming off. Read more

The mounts supplied by Rexing are garbage. They become slimy on a hot day and become unattached from the adhesive. This mount does not have that issue. Unfortunately, my sample has dark gray adhesive, not black. Small price to pay to keep my camera attached, I guess. Read more
