As compact as a power source to this capacity can be. No frill controls, cable storage is great. Read more

I received my solar generator yesterday after charging, I tried my Keurig work without any problems and then used my CPAP machine last night for seven hours great. Then today I plugged in several different devices and it worked as stated in the manual, I purchased this so I can go camping in my travel trailer without electricity and still be able to use my CPAP machine. We plan on getting the solar panels now so we can charge the solar generator well dry camping. The generator is very well build and I see it lasting for years. Read more

I bought this intending to run a mini-fridge for a long weekend at the cabin. I needed it to run from around noon on Friday to around noon on Sunday, a 48 hour period. I had carefully selected my mini-fridge for its low power consumption (500Wh/day), and with 2048Wh in the unit, I figured it should be able to handle it. I did not know (and it seems it was actively avoided to state this), the inverter consumes 40W just being switched on. This runs the battery down completely before 36 hours have elapsed. This device will provide a lot of power in a shorter amount of time. If you need it offsite for a day to run some power tools, this is perfect for the job. But if you need it to run A/C power with a low draw for a longer period of time, the inverter will consume the system before you get your money's worth out of it. MITIGATION: I purchased solar panels, and the system can supply power at the same time as it is recharging via solar, so this can extend the run-time of the unit. However in my case, my cabin is heavily shaded under the canopy of tall oaks, and I'm not inclined to chop down any trees to provide the kind of sunlight needed for this. Instead, I purchased a DC powered smaller "car fridge" that can meet most of my needs, and runs on DC. Leaving the AC outlets powered off, it ran the fridge for 80 hours before the unit ran down - this is far more like what I had expected, and suits me fine. Read more
