French Toast Girls Short Sleeve 2-Fer Pleated Dress

I personally don't like that kids are required to wear uniforms for public schools now (unlike when I was a kid and could express myself!). My 10yo daughter mostly wears skirts with polo tops for her uniform. Once I found this dress it was a fame changer! It looks gorgeous on her. If fits in such a way that she looks like a little lady. Show off her slim body type in a cute way! Very feminine, especially compared to most uniforms, even the dresses. I got her a criss cross tie to wear with it, along with knee high socks, and she is just adorable going to school every day now! The fabric is stretch on the body, which is very flattering, and non stretch on the skirt part. High quality and not crazy expensive! Only thing I would change would be making it in other colors! Would love this dress in red, for instance. I would buy 1 in every color if I could. Maybe 2 even. Lol. Also, washes nicely! Have held up very well through a lot of wear and washes. Read more

Do not hesitate because of the very few poor reviews. I bought 3 of these dresses. My daughter is in the 98% in Ht and 99% in WT. Her head measures 99% too. She's 5 yrs old. She wears a size 8 in French Toast uniforms but I did get her a size 10 to grow into which fits long. The material in this dress is so nice and soft. The skirt part stays pleated and doesn't wrinkle. The white part doesn't wrinkle either. The pictures I posted are after washing the uniform. Now it's important to use color guard laundry detergent on any garment that is made with dark and light material. In the past I've ruined a few garments of my own, expensive ones, by not using color guard detergent on them. Also garments like these should be washed by themselves the first time, then you can wash them with like colors using color guard. Again true for any similar garments. If you don't use color guard detergent then the white portion will be slightly dyed by the dark material. It's always best to air dry these types of garment too, to prevent wrinkles in the white portion of the material or just remove it from the dryer while it's still warm and shake it out. Again I've had to do this with my own clothes because I've ruined a few expensive pieces in the past. I reccomend cheer with color guard. This dress goes on easily and off easily and as you can see from the pictures it stays nice after washing it too. I reccomend using cheer with color guard on all dark colors because it will prevent fading too. Or any color guard detergent. I hope this helps. Wash in warm water too never hot. The dress looks lovely but the sizing is just so off. My daughter cried trying to get the neck portion over her head and we already size up to 4T (shes a 2T in any other clothing and she barely fits those!!). Read more
