They are difficult to read. If you are concerned about the temperature in your fridge, you probably don’t want to keep the door open too long to get a reading on your thermometer. I am a retired chemist and have read plenty of thermometers in my life, and these are some of the hardest. You need to place your eyes directly at thermometer level to see the column of red liquid.
