The filter was easy to change. I found you need to use the original plastic wrench that came with the system to work good. Using something to grip the filter housing such as a rubber glove or jar opener pad while turning the wrench makes it easy to remove. Previous filter changed lasted a year and was very discolored using city water. Others say water flow is not restricted but it is slightly. Water is passing through a filter versus unrestricted so some reduce flow is expected but it was minimal. So far this is my third filter since buying the water filter system 3 years ago. Water does taste better and has zero smell. Read more
I purchased a Frizzlife under the counter water filter system, and that's pretty great. But, when it came time to change the filter on the unit after 11 months, I couldn't get the old filter out of the housing. The company supplies a tiny plastic "wrench" which is way too small. Finally, with the help of two neighbors, they suggested using a strap wrench to grip the slippery outer housing, while using the toy "wrench" to carefully twist open the top of the housing. With this much needed assistance, we were able to get the old filter out. What a nightmare! But after that, it was easy to swap out the filters and replace the housing top with the little "Ken and Barbie wrench". This time without applying the death grip tightness that the company did. And it didn't leak either! Oh yeah, as for the filter itself and my review on it... well, I guess it's doing what it's supposed to do. Our tap water still tastes pretty darned good. 👍 Read more

The absolute number one thing The purchaser should be aware of is how ungodly tight the fitment is. I'm 180 lbs, fairly strong and work with my hands plenty and rotating one quarter turn was doable but it took very heavy, steady force for about 15 seconds to travel that quarter turn to tighten it. Not sure how well it filters water, but the water volume is good. Would not recommend for most women unless they have access to fairly handy guy. Read more
