I live in the Midwest and it gets very cold in the winter. My dog doesn't mind it but when we get single digit or negative temps I like to make sure she is warm when we go out. Best fitting coat I EVER purchased for my pup! Thank you!!!! The thickness is perfect for the cold but not bulky at all. The fleece lining is so cozy! She is very comfortable on our walks. The shape is perfect and the gentle elastic gathers give easily for comfortable movement yet allowing a perfect fit leaving no gaps for the cold to enter. She is happy to step in it and the zipper functions very well and is great quality. This is an exceptional value in my humble opinion. Bought for my 18 pound mini schnauzer. Fits well not loose or bulky. Zipper works well stays closed made well Harness part sewn on dont know how it would be with large dog or heavy puller. Much better than velcro straps Seems warm with liner. Able to wash. Read more

The Fuamey dog coat is an exceptional purchase. The large size in a vibrant red perfectly fits my senior 34lb Labradoodle. (Fleece coat is about an inch long.) The back of the stretchy jacket reaches almost to her tailbone; the zipper is strong and no doubt long-lasting; it repels rain and snow; the neck area covers her quite well and the built-in harness is especially useful and appreciated. This dog winter coat is the best I've found and I would highly recommend it. (Caveat: If her fur grows another 2 or so inches, I may purchase an XL to avoid catching fur in the zipper. Well made and warm. Looks very cute on. Easy on and zipper works great- just press flat to lock and stays closed. Harnesss attachment is very handy and works for us but might not be strong enough for dogs that pull at leash. Bought 1 size up so no pressure on zipper line and room for dog to move. Measure first! I was assuming medium would fit my dog but after measuring him I bought large. It fits perfectly. My dog is nearly 8 so not old but not young either. We get snow so I want to keep him warm when we’re outside. He almost doesn’t want to take it off! He can pull a bit so we use his harness over the coat as they advise. I decided on this one because reviews claimed it was true to fit. My American Pit Bull Terrier is about 52 pounds and I measured her neck at 17 inches and chest was 30 inches. If you go by the size chart she would need large based on her neck size but XL for her chest. I chose large because I felt that XL would be too big. As it turns out, large fits her neck just right but it’s snug in her chest area, and it didn’t quite reach her tail. She ended up getting it dirty on her first wear outside so I couldn’t return it but I decided to order another one in XL this time. The XL is big in her neck area but fits just right in the chest. It reaches just above her tail and seems loose in the waist area but I think it’s a much more comfortable fit for her. I’m giving it 4 stars because the material appears to be good quality and sturdy (she likes to roll in the grass). However, I can’t give it a 5 because I wish the sizing was better.
