Bought these for a Disney trip very compact and convenient to carry. They can easily fit in a pocket. But don’t expect it to charge the phone completely it got my iPhone up to 60%. FUEL RODS: bought 2-pack for coming Disney trip. CHARGER: none of the cords it comes with work with my MacBook Pro. THE PERFECT CHARGER: Micro USB AMAZON KINDLE CHARGER! The one that fits is for one of my OLD Kindles. The end of the cord has 4 sides, wider bottom than top, slightly curved angled sides from wider to narrower. It took about an hour to charge 1. I currently am testing charging my phone with a Fuel Rod. In 90 minutes my phone went from 11% to 68%. The Fuel Rod temperature is "slightly warm", just a bit warmer than my body's temperature. Definitely NOT "hot". I am fine letting my phone charge in my waist pouch at the mildly warm temperature it has when charging. Why did you pick this product vs others?: After going to a theme park and my phone not lasting I knew I needed a solution. Ive seen FuelRods at airports and theme parks. After researching how the trade in works and some places its free I purchased a set for my husband and I to use. Ive used it for traveling so my phone could charge while flying on a plane. Im giving it a 3 because I don’t want to give an unfair 1 if I got a defective pack. I’m not really sure what all the hype is. Is it that you can exchange them?? These are small and lightweight but the fuel cell dual pack I received didn’t really pack a huge punch. I used it at Disney park our shortest park day. I was not impressed. It charged my phone very slowly and not a whole lot, just enough to limp on until we left, and went dead before the kids and I did. Not enough juice in it to charge much of anything, definitely not more than one device. I only used one day at Disney, it just wasn’t worth the backpack space for me. In fact, I never even exchanged the fuel cell (I only saw a few exchange machines at Disney, they are not “all over the place as some have said. I can’t tell you how many machines are at the parks as I was disappointed and did not use beyond our shortest day at the park so I stopped looking for them!). In fact, the spent fuel cells stayed in our hotel room the rest of the trip and I took our usual backup battery that juices up everything we have (phones, fans, whatever we need) back to full power in a short amount of time. If I had a do over I would not have purchased. I appear to be in the minority, but I don’t understand why people are such fans. Read more
