All my life, I've had an issue with sweaty feet. Most of that time, I've worked 12 hour shifts in manufacturing, so my poor shoes and/or boots have smelled so bad, I've had to replace them every few months. What an embarrassment to think maybe other people could smell my stinky feet when next to me. No exaggeration, I couldn't even stand the stink of my own feet. I've tried all the odor eating sprays, powders, insoles, essential oils, etc. I've bought 3 or 4 pairs of new work shoes and rotated between them. Nothing worked for longer than a few days. Even washing my shoes in a regular wash cycle didn't help the funk. Then I saw this stuff and after reading other reviews, I thought, okay, I'll try another one. I received it about a month after a new pair of work shoes. They were already starting to get funkified, so I figured, perfect, a good test for my new spray. I let them dry thoroughly, then doused them with the spray and let them dry thoroughly again. When I sniffed them the next day, the stink was gone. I could NOT believe it! It does leave sort of a weird detergent smell, but not bad at all. Way better than stinky feet smell. I discovered that this stuff has real lasting power too. I haven't sprayed my work shoes in several weeks now, and they're the only shoes I've worn to work for the last 4 months. I just stuck my nose in them and inhaled deeply, and nothing. No stink. Just a faint detergent smell. My shoes don't stink, my feet don't stink, life is good. I'm absolutely shocked I've finally found something that actually works, and lasts. Yes, I highly recommend this product if you have some major stink you need to get rid of. Read more

Update 12/1/25: ive continued to use this product cause its just so good even with the bad nozzles ive had experienced . But recently they must have changed suppliers or something cause the last couple cans the spray nozzles appear to be much better. Or maybe they haven’t changed at all and I just got a bad batch of spray heads before. Either way. I’ve had much better results with the current bottles as they get to the end of their capacity. Able to spray it all to the last drop. Original review: Been using it for years. Works great on my work boots and jackets. Smells very good and it does seem to remove odor rather than coverup. No underlying bad smell. One issue is the spray nozzle. They changed the nozzles and it won’t spray very well after 50% has been used. The first 3 or 4 cans I bought in 2023 worked all the way to last drop. The ones I got recently with the new nozzle in 2024 are not good Read more

Took several rounds of spray and airing out but this helped me get a smoke smell out of a used handbag so I’m happy with it. The scent is a bit strong but I think it smells pretty good, just something to keep in mind if you are highly sensitive to scents. Hard to wash off your hands if it gets on them Read more

This is easy to use, has a good scent. This lasts when used in shoes. Only need to use every few wears. Will buy again, better than any spray bought at a drug store. Read more

A great product that removes odors instead of masking them. Perfect for shoes, gym bags, and work boots. Read more

I grabbed the FunkAway Big Jobs Aerosol Spray for my gym shoes and pet's bedding, and right off the bat, I'll say it does what it claims: the worst odors vanish fast. I sprayed down some truly gnarly sneakers, as well as a pet bed that smelled like it should have been tossed, and within a day the funk was gone. It even worked on some musty camping gear that no regular air freshener could touch. The scent is fresh but fades as it dries, which I appreciated since I don’t want a floral storm covering up the problem. This stuff turns embarrassing "who did that?" moments into a non-issue. Now, for the not-so-great part: mixing the spray's scent with really bad odors can sometimes create a weird new smell, especially with nasty shoes or sweat-soaked gear. It's not just me; I noticed others saying the same thing. I found it helped to let things fully dry and sometimes hit them with another spray, but honestly, I wish it neutralized instantly instead of needing to repeat. Also, I noticed my can developed a weird defect — about halfway through, the spray mechanism started sticking and would sometimes leak around the nozzle. I don't think that's normal for everyone, but it's super frustrating and made me lose some product. Despite these issues, I still like FunkAway for handling jobs that no detergent or regular spray could hope to tackle. If you need a heavy-duty odor killer and are tired of covering up stinks, I’d say give it a try but keep an eye on the can and be ready for the occasional strange combo-smell during the magic. With a better sprayer, I’d go four stars — but this defect has to knock it down a notch. Read more
