These are a really good set of shock collars for the price. The shock/prong points are actually covered in rubber tips so it helps to protect your dogs skin. There are 3 different settings, beep, vibrate, and shock. There's only 1 sound/noise level for beep and I use this feature the most to grab my dogs' attention, esp if we are out on a trail/off leash. If I call their names and they don't respond, beeping them almost always works. Next is vibrate and there are levels 1-99. I keep mine at 99 to really get their attention but I rarely use this feature. I will if beeping the doesn't work. No the vibrate doesn't hurt them at all and yes I tried it on myself. This set comes with a charger that is really nice. I don't really need to charge mine all that often, esp. the remote, that lasts a long time. The shock feature, like the vibrate has levels 1-99. I tried it on myself up to 5 and it doesn't hurt but it definitely shocks you. It feels like a static shock to be honest. 1 was very light and 5 was like OH OK... again not painful but it does startle you a bit. I did it on the underside of my wrist. There's no way in heck I would ever shock my dogs' without shocking myself first to know what the feeling is like, I think that's only fair. So for shock I keep it at level 3-4. I haven't had to use that yet but if I need to then I will. Again, since I have already tested it on me, I KNOW exactly what level 3-4 feels like. I know it's not painful, it's not torture, it's startling but that's about it so that's what I am comfortable keeping that setting level to. But beep and vibrate for now work well. I have not tested it in water. I will in the summer time when I head to the lake, but I mainly use it for off leash walks and when I go to the dog park (and they decide to eat poop on the other side of the dog park and calling their names doesn't do anything and by the time I run to them... they have teeth covered in brown poo like kids when they eat chocolate LOL). So for those two occasions, these collars work perfectly! I had a problem with one controller not working but with the warranty, all I did was contact the company and they sent me another one within the week to replace my broken one. I was surprised by how well these collars work for the price. The range is excellent, and having three collars with one remote makes training multiple dogs much easier. The vibration and beep modes are usually enough—I rarely need the shock setting. The collars feel sturdy, and the reflective straps are a nice touch for nighttime. My only small complaint is that the straps are a bit bulky for smaller dogs. Overall, great value and very effective when used responsibly! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Pictures represent: One collar recently has broken still can use just not as effective. One of the prongs that works for the zap got smushed down into the collar head. When taken out looks like it’s split (might have happened from tweezing it out). Same collar has one side of the brace to hold the collar onto the head has broken off. Good picture: we found out if you hold the light button their blinking green light turns into a solid white light. Con: light will turn off after maybe 5 minutes. Video: we have had trouble recently with one of the charging cords going bad - have to have it bent just the right way to complete the current through the cord. Very frustrating and annoying to deal with (as I’m sure all Apple charging cord users could agree with). Overall we loved these collars. Dogs are very responsive to them. Trained the beep to mean come to me/time to go inside. Very responsive to vibrations for the most part and when necessary VERY responsive to the zap. Love having the choice to use it or not and the level of use. Personally didn’t use the caps for the prongs that came with them because they just kept popping off. Battery lift of collars was decent but has since become less predictable and shorter. Battery life of the remote is amazing!!! Distance of use is very far...really good for city use when they’re gone out of sight and two to three blocks away...naughty pups. Great training tool but they know if you’re paying attention with the remote or not - will leave their trained area. I liked being able to control them from inside during the winter. Hard to say about water resistance we don’t avidly take them swimming. But the dog that has gone in the water has the collar that is not broken... Hope this helps! I purchased this collar for my two pit mixes to aide in training. Before the collar arrived I watched some videos on YouTube from Pack Masters on E-Collar training. I highly recommend watching some of his videos before doing any E-Collar training. He teaches you how to use it positively. I had used the E-collar on a dog we had years ago and only now do I realize that it didn't work because I was not using it properly. So please learn how to use it properly before putting it on your pup. I tried the E-collar for the first time yesterday with my little girl pitty and she did amazing. by the end of our 10 minute session she would come to me on command. it was amazing to see with only using for 10 minutes. And not once was she unhappy about the collar. I took it out today to do a 10 minute session with her and she (who is usually filled with anxiety) came over to me tail wagging ready to train. So far this product seems to be of good quality. The only thing is the collar part is too long and neither of my pups are full grown (one is 6 months one is 7 months) s I cut it down a little bit but left some length to it because I am sure their necks will get wider. so the extra length gets in the way and I have to try and tuck it in somehow. So far I would recommend this product. I can't speak for the battery life or the water resistance yet because we've only used it twice since it came yesterday. Read more
