I bought this to fill two distinct needs. The rod in my closet collapsed under the weight of too much stuff and I needed a place to hang things until the handy man could fix the situation. Its life wasn't over yet. I moved it to my laundry room where it is being used to hang things after they come out of the dryer without taking up a lot of room. I love having it there. I did not want to open up the box and then send it back and take a chance at listening to Amazon bitch, so I sent the box back unopened.
