I'm 24 and have ridden motorcycle as my primary transportation for 6 years, commuting to and from work 100+ miles a day. I've never been the type to wear gloves, or proper gear for that matter, until this past summer when I got hit on the free way doing 70 mph. The glove-less fall was quick and the incredibly surreal, and the pain to my knuckles immediate. Scrubbing asphalt out of my hands was one of the more painful experiences I've had to date... do not recommend! Now my summer gloves aren't cutting it and in the past I only used cheapish skiing gloves, which were bulky and made more finesse movement nigh on impossible (adjusting volume on my earphones through my pocket, switch through songs on the plastic wire piece) so I did some shopping around for the perfect glove - not too aggressive, flashy, or 'wannabe tough guy' that all these new bikers think is the image they have to promote. These gloves are phenomenal. They fit as I expected them to - I got the XL and the fit feels similar to the XL Icon Twenty-Niner gloves I have for warmer weather. Bought these because my trusty Icons are not touch-screen friendly. My hand measures out at about 8.5" - I ordered an XL and they fit perfectly. Gloves appear to be well made, are comfortable when wrapped around a throttle (many gloves are awesome until you try and wrap your hand around the bars), and the touch-screen tip works perfectly. I'm using these as "intermediate weather" gloves - as they are solid leather. Comfortable (to me) down in the mid-40's. Long time rider (both a Road King Classic and a Honda F6B in the garage right now) - which is why I always go for leather - having totalled a few streetbikes in my time - you'll want leather on your hands when you go down. Great all-around riding gloves. The padding is well placed in case of a spill, and the gloves themselves are very comfortable. No "break in period", just put them on and get in the wind. They have the snaps for racing jackets, but look just as cool on a Harley. They will make great warm/hot weather protective gear, since they aren't lined or too long. Just long enough to meet riding jacket cuffs. Not great winter cold weather gloves, but that's not what they were advertised as or made for...and I've had worse that WERE supposed to be for cold weather, so not too shabby. I've put approx. 600 miles on them since I got them last week. Wouldn't ride without them, even if just as backup for my cold weather gloves. I am honest but fair. I had to return mine because they do not fit. Me: 6', 186 lbs, average build and hand size. By the supplied sizing chart, the large was borderline, so up it and I ordered Xlarge. Thay are pretty tight width wise. My Thumb, crown to tip is 2 2/4", middle finger is 3 3/8". My fingers and especially my thumb bottom out. The glove still does not reach the web/crown of my didgits. The fingers are close, but the thumb is a cool 1/2 from seating correctly. Thus the gloves feels very tight, and it is difficult to close the hand (to circle bike grips) so they will not work, for me. Pros: The knuckles reinforcements are spot on in location, and are imbedded under the outer layer of leather (nice touch). Nice leather too! Many double layers of leather where it counts. Both hands have cell phone touch material on tip of thumb and forefinger. Double stitched sewing, snaps to clip gloves together for storage, and the velcro works quickly and is effective. It is not a bad looking glove in person, and it does smell nice like leather should. I can not report on durability, nor longevity since they do not fit, and I can not use them to ride. So bottom line, for $20.00 if they fit your hands, I'd rate them a 4 to 4.5 points, and you might give them a try. But for me, I'll have to pass. Read more
Very soft comfortable leather, and they fit according to the size chart. I usually wear large gloves, but according to the size chart for these, I'm on the lower end of XL. The gloves fit fine, except the pinky finger seems to have been designed for those with freakishly long little fingers. The rest of the fingers fit me perfectly. These are my second pair of this glove. They fit well and seem to be made well. They are not premium gloves and are priced as such. I wouldn't use them to race on a track, but to keep my hands from slipping on the throttle, they are perfect, and give some protection for my hands. Read more
