This is the fourth G-shock that I've owned (dw5600E-1, GA110, and gw6900-1). I love this watch. I love the blackout feature. It's flashy but discrete. The bull bar provides extra protection, as well as a nice aesthetic touch in that it also gives me a sense of security telling me that I can be rough and tumble with it. It's bulky. It's bulkier than the above mentioned models (the GA110 is pretty bulky) and I think its the bulkiest of the watches I've seen in the gshock line. The bars add another 2-3mm in thickness as well. IF you're adverse to thickness, this is not the watch for you. The band width is pretty wide as well. Now, I look better with bigger watches, so this fits me well. But I want to make sure people know that if they are questioning about I've noticed a lot of criticism regarding these polarized g-shock watches and the difficulty it is to see the time in the dark. However, I noticed that it is difficult to see the watch when viewing it directly at 90 degrees (that is, viewing directly on top). However when viewed between at a 30-40 degree angle, it shows perfectly, every time, even in low light. The Auto EL feature works for 6 hours when enabled, which is perfect in the evening. It lights up at 40 degree angle and has a blueish tint in the background, which is a great contrast to the black/red and is easily viewable. It also has all the other basic casio features that go without saying. I really like this watch. I don't want to marry it, and I'm not emotionally tied to it, but I like the way it feels on my arm and how it looks and compliments my color wheel (yeah I said that). Fantastic watch! The time is super easy to read day and night. The back light works very well compared to most watches. The buttons are large and easy to use. The watch is super waterproof with no issues to report as of yet. It’s very comfortable. Great Product! Read more

Durable, not overly complicated, good backlight ( I use it even as a very temporary flashlight early in the morning on my workdays so I can see the stairs.) and the side buttons do not take an abundance of force to actuate. I will say the photo made the watch look FDE but it's more of an OD Green, but it blends well next to multicam. Would recommend, worth the money. Read more

I’m on my 4th G-Shock watch in 7 years. I lost my first one, and the other 2 work just fine to this day. This is the new one. I’m no watch collector, but I wear one just about every single day, and really only own G-Shocks. The only thing that makes me want to buy a new one is the single flaw I see in G-Shocks; the little plastic band that holds the strap down in place. After a few years they get brittle and break. An easy fix,(you can get replacement parts through G-Shock & replace the band yourself or even take it to a watch shop) but instead I decide its time to treat myself to a new watch. This has to be the nicest looking one I’ve bought yet, and I have no question that it will be just as durable as the others, if not more so. The metal wiring around it only makes it stronger. I work in the construction industry and am also a very active outdoorsman(fishing, mountain biking, camping etc etc etc) and almost never take off my watch for any of the above. No, it does not come in the classic G-Shock tin, but its a damn box thats useless once I put the watch on so I’m well over that. This watch was released in 2014 so its price has gone down all the way to $77 for the grey/green colored one. The one warning ill issue to anyone who decides to buy this watch is that G-Shocks usually come with the battery already on, so the battery may not last as long as expected due to the fact that its an older model. Another easy fix should the battery die. Overall, a great purchase and I look forward to getting some good years out of this watch until the time comes once again to order a new one. Enjoy!
