Update: They sent me a replacement, under the warranty, so I increased the Star rating by 1. Material does protect you from the heat __________________< Purchased umbrella in June 2023. Used it twice in July 2023, and then a 3rd time on May 9th 2024. Umbrella snapped under a normal gust of wind. The Amazon product page mentions a 12 month warranty but no information on how to contact them. I googled the company and sent email today. Company web page also empty on how they cover products under warranty. I would not have paid this much for an umbrella so easily snapped. While they say they have a 1 year warranty, they do not list how you should contact them. I had to do an internet search to find the company and their email address. I researched extensively before choosing this sun protection umbrella. After several weeks I am very satisfied. It is definitely worth the price. The temp is definitely cooler underneath. It’s large enough to share if necessary. I use this at grandkids soccer games and it has made my life so much easier. I plan to get another for the other vehicle. I purchased this umbrella for a camping trip. This large umbrella, for rain or sunshine...perfect. The umbrella opened with ease and and looked very cool. The material has a strong chemical smell that felt like I could taste it and wondered if it was safe. After a couple of minutes checking out this umbrella, it was noticeable that your arm could get tired after holding it for a while, as it is a little heavy, but it is also large. Because of the size of the material sections of the shiny soft material, I found it difficult and necessary to fold out each section of material to have it lay smoothly to wrapped and secure it back into its stinky sleeve.
