I purchased this dryer as a Christmas present for myself and gave it enough time before writing a review. All I can say is -this is The Best dryer I’ve ever used! And I’ve had all the high end blow dryers! Dyson, T3, Harry Josh and the SRI Dry Q but they’re nothing compared to this IQ3! It’s phenomenal and makes my 68 year old bleached blonde hair look like and feel like silk! Worth every penny! This blows them all away! Love it! Read more

This blow dryer has a very nice, sleek design. It works well and exhibits a good amount of power and heat to dry your hair quickly and easily. It has multiple settings so you can find what works best for you or what is most fitting for what you need. It’s pretty light and easy to use. It also came with ways to clean and replace the filter in the back where the air goes into the blow dryer. My only complaint is that the attachments are have Avery long attachment and can be a little tricky to take off and put on. It’s also quite and expensive blow dryer, it is nice quality but it’s comparable to nicer hair dryers at a cheaper price point. Read more

This hairdryer is amazing! It's lightweight, powerful and heats up really fast. It is expensive but I would highly recommend. Read more

I’ve never had such a fancy blow dryer before. At first, I was intimidated with all the functions but soon found it easy to use. It is by far the lightest dryer I’ve held with this power. My arm no longer gets tired and it fits comfortably in the hand. The air it puts out is powerful enough to blow dry my hair in less than 8 minutes. My other dryer took anywhere from 12-14 minutes in the Florida humidity. My hair is fluffy, shiny, and strong. No accidents where my hair gets stuck in the dryer either. My favorite function is something simple. There is a lock on the power button that saves all the settings so you don’t bump them. Such a basic thing but makes a world of difference. Read more

I have long, mixed texture (fine-coarse) (2c-3c) curly hair. My hair straightens rather easily. Currently I have a T3, prior to that I had two different Chi’s. The reason I was looking for a new hair dryer was to reduce the potential for continued hearing loss… so I wanted something that was quieter than my T3. For a while I was just letting it air drive overnight but that isn’t the most convenient or flexible styling method (but my hair turns out softer and shinier when I do). I took my daughter to get her hair cut. She has long, extremely thick, fine, 1a-2a hair. Our hair stylist was using a GA.MA IQ and I liked how quiet it seemed. I’ve had this now for three weeks and have not had one good hair day (straight or curly). I’ve adapted my techniques, changed conditioners, and curl creams (I have used Aveda for years)… and it ends up dry, dull and frizzy. I feel like hair dryer doesn’t have enough heat to dry my hair without being on the highest airflow setting… so it ends up separating and disrupting my curl patterns. I also feel like it struggles to dry my hair enough when I straighten it with a round brush. Accessories: I have never like using directional nozzles… these are no different. Having to move them around to get the correct angle on a round brush is annoying. I have mixed feeling on the diffuser… it’s half good. I like the depth but the diameter feels too small for the length and fullness of my hair. So I have to partition more sections. The star nozzle doesn’t seem to have an impact on my hair. Not sure at this point. iQ Standby tech with Smart Pad with Standby Sensor: I really do like the silicone smart pad. It’s so annoying to put your hair dryer down and because of weight distribution and cord… and it slides into the sink or off the counter. It feels nice to put the hair dryer on a cushioned grabby surface. The T3 has a standby sensor but it’s always been annoying to me because you have to have your hand on a very specific place on the dryer or it will turn off. The T3 would also take about 2-3 secs, once you put it down, to go into standby mode blowing everything on the counter at whatever airflow you were using. I do like the standby mode more on the iQ. It does still take 2/3 secs to go into standby but the airflow decreases gradually. One caveat of this system is that the standby sensor only worked with one side of the hair dryer. When I straighten my hair I use both hands depending on the side I’m using so I have to be mindful of how and where I put it down on the mat. Brushless Motor: This hair dryer does sound quieter than the T3. It’s more of a rushing air sound without the high pitched whine of conventional hairdryer motors. Design: The cord on this thing really bothers me. It’s thick, rather rigid, doesn’t maneuver well nor does it swivel. There is nothing on the cord to manage it while it’s not in use. Also the shock safety sticker (not supposed to remove it) is very large and in the way. All this makes it unpleasant to unplug and put away after use which is what I prefer to do after each use. I don’t think I like how small the hair dryer is but it is light and small so for some people that might be a benefit. Price point: I paid almost $380 (mostly for the attachments I don’t really like)… Conclusion: I don’t know if I like this enough to keep. I might just return this and get one of the other iQs without all the extras, just to use on my daughter’s hair… and keep wear ear plugs. Read more

This hair dryer is the nicest dryer I've ever used. It's QUIET and POWERFUL. I am amazed at how quiet this is. You can use this in the house without feeling like you are going to wake everyone up, and use it in the salon without feeling like you are going to go deaf from it. Nice. The attachment connects magnetically. I find that it holds as well as other dryers with magnets. They can come off while using, but that seems to be pretty typical. This is really user friendly and easy to operate right out of the box. Nice. This is my new favorite dryer. Read more
