This is a great controller in its own right, and especially so for the price. The swappable buttons are nice, the RGBs are cool and adjustable, and overall it feels very nice especially when considering its cheaper price. When used on PC with the 2.4gHz dongle it is *extremely* responsive (much snappier than the 8bitdo controllers), which is another nice plus. The buttons are rubber membrane and a tad mushy but I actually really prefer that feel. They are plenty responsive, just not too loud or clicky. The hair trigger function is awesome, it has paired flawlessly with all my devices as needed, and it syncs up great with the dongle on PC. I am a huge dpad snob, and while this one is a little mushy it is also really accurate and worked great for some NES games, Street Fighter VI, and the infamous Tetris games which are prone to accidental drops on many other controllers (no issues here!). It works great with the Switch out of the box, and worked perfectly with the Switch 2 on launch day- This is what player 2 used since I only had one Switch 2 Pro Controller. We put it through its paces with Mario Kart, Street Fighter VI, and various retro games all weekend after the Switch 2 launched, and it worked great. The rumble is of course not-HD, but it can be turned down or turned off and worked great. None of my guests complained and when I had the controller passed to me for a round I was never upset lol The 8bitdo controllers were later patched, but we were unable to use those on Switch 2 at launch, so another win for the Gamesir. This controller might not be for everyone, but it is a fantastic all rounder. If you prefer rubber membrane controllers (like the Switch 1 Pro Controller) this is the one for you. It's cheap, cheerful, connects without issue, and is a reliable, comfortable, and durable input method. This and the Cyclone were my first Gamesir controllers. I returned the Cyclone since I liked this one so much better but they are both quality controllers and I will be checking out whatever Gamesir puts out next! Read more

As far as I can tell, the controller is good. Buttons are nice to press, the face plate is simple to remove if you wanted to swap it, the controller has some weight to it so it doesn't feel cheap? Not that that affects how it's used. The handles are made of a grippy rubber material, in contrast to the smooth plastic that makes up the face plate. The sticks are smooth to use. Haptic feedback works too. The first thing you should do when you get this controller is connect it to a computer and update its firmware, that solved an initial strange behavior I saw. Anyways, the dock is easy to use and small so it doesn't take up too much space. When you pick up the controller it automatically connects to the usb receiver that's plugged into the dock, and that will connect your controller to whatever your dock is connected to (pc, console, anything else). So I can grab my controller from my dock and hear a successful connection sound within a few seconds. No clicking connect on my game device, no mashing buttons on the controller to wake it up. I have 3 devices that I use this controller with, so instead of having to pair/re-pair the controller each time I want to switch, I can just unplug the dock and plug it into the new device. I use it with a switch, my pc, and a steam deck docked, and it works seamlessly with each one. It also uses the correct a/b/x/y layout for the switch compared to pc/steam deck, which I really like. Only downside with this controller is that I enjoy pressing the back pedals so much that I have to unbind them any time I'm playing a game that I don't need those buttons for. Otherwise I'll just mash them during downtime. Overall, I like the controller, so much that I'm prioritizing playing games in my library that can are controller compatible. It's fun to use, I never worry about connecting or setting up my controller, this is the most plug-and-playable controller I've ever owned. Read more

This started out as a great controller, I was really looking forward to using it for some time. It feels good in my large hands, looks great and has some really nice features. I don't like the auto shut off feature but that's not enough of a problem on its own. Less than 3 months after buying the controller, the rubber grip on the left side is peeling up with a huge bubble in it. The seam where the rubber has peeled up is just sharp enough that it's scraping my hand when I try to use, making it very annoying. Given the short time frame since purchase I've considered contacting support but I know they'll just send me another controller with cheap materials, so I'm not sure it's worth the time or effort. If I end up going that route I'll update my review with info about how that process goes. Read more

i bought this controller to replace a different brand that had issues with sticky abxy keys. its a beautiful controller, the lights work perfect, easy to use, connection to my pc was instant. with that being said, i have had it less than a month, and one of the triggers is already broken. in the middle of a game, i was immediately unable to play, so i checked the controller, and the RT Trigger was just no longer working. The tension in the trigger was gone, there are no broken parts that i can find. i expected better for the price. UPDATE! ** Gamesir Customer Service is amazing! i advised them of the issue due to the return window being closed with amazon, and they sent a replacement within 24 hours! apparently it was a known issue with a batch of controllers, and they made it right ASAP! no complaints, they were very kind, and amazing!!!!
