I like the warmth and brightness of the light - it isn't artificial looking and has good temperature for a LED. Motion sensing is responsive - it comes on when I walk by. It is just about right in terms of sensitivity. Stays on for a few minutes after motion stops. I think dusk to dawn is wasteful and light polluting so this seems like the best solution. This hangs slightly inside the bottom of my fixture but there is no negative impact on motion responsiveness. Replaced Ring smart bulbs that had an ugly color temp, unreliable integration with Ring ecosystem, and unreliable ability to shut off/on, with lights often becoming out of synch with the app settings (to include brightness constantly resetting to minimum values and bulb being lit when app said it was off and vice versa). Though these bulbs cannot integrate with Ring, they provide better reliability for what I need in an exterior light bulb. Read more

Surprised at how well these work. They turn on when door opens to the deck & also turn off. It was remembering to turn off the light that was more problematic for us. These are quite bright & easy to use. It takes very little motion to trigger the bulb to come on. They work well in cold weather. Read more

Very short range when use used outdoors. Not useable for lighting a driveway or around a vehicle parked in a driveway. Nor walkway up to a porch. Works great in my dark garage and inside a closet where the short movement range detection is more appropriate. Read more

Great motion sensor and bright LED in outside fixtures. Motion sensor did not work in one of my indoor stairwell lights. It never shut off indoors, but works in my outdoor fixtures. Stays off during the day, comes on with motion at night, exactly what I wanted outside. Read more

This is my second time buying automatic lightbulbs that turn on with motion. I use them in my garage and these last for five minutes since the last movement. Previously, I had lights that had 30 or 60 seconds but found the movement sensor wasn't always working. At least with this one, it's on for at least five minutes, then turns off itself. Does need to be reset if you have a mild power outage as they go back to 'always on' function. Read more

Used these for a year as motion sensor lights for two separate bedroom closets, one on the north and one on the south wall of my bedroom. They worked perfectly for the first year or so, then suddenly they started coming on in the middle of the night and will not go back off (normally they go off after a minute or two). Its not possible there is motion as they are in two separate rooms, closed closets, no windows no airflow no movement. Also when they started malfunctioning and coming on the middle of the night, they won't go back off like the do the other times. So they just stay on forever. Better than the 30 second on Ameritop bulbs which I returned (excellent experience) but this replacement still has some quirks. On one bulb, it went to always on immediately after being turned on. Eventually got it back to sensor mode, but takes a lot more that the 3 seconds off to reset. Another bulb stopped detecting motion even though it was dark and powered up. Got it on in always on mode, but had to turn it off overnight and powerup in daylight to get it back in what I hope is sensor mode. I expected more from GE, but have to realize it is made by someone else who just pays to use their name. Read more

Great bulbs! They've been working well so far. I have them in my backyard and the front of my house. Soon as you walk up the steps the lights come on and they stay on for 5 minutes which is better than a lot of standard bulbs which only stay on for 1 minute. You're so bright that if anyone's trying anything they shouldn't, I notice it in my room which is right next to the bulb outside. And if I'm walking into the kitchen, I see that the bulb is on. It's on often because we have a neighbor's cat and I think some raccoons in the neighborhood and they just running past on the steps and it even noticed a small animals which is great. It keeps turning the bulb on which probably is annoying sometimes, but that's what it's designed to do. And I'm glad it is doing what it's doing definitely a worthwhile purchase. I just wish they were less expensive because LEDs have been out for a long time now Read more
