My nearly identical GE was built in 2004 --- that's 18 years without problems. This replacement has several minor improvements - like better lights and slightly better programmed controls for settings. Which is exactly what I wanted - so installation was easy - but it is (of course) a two person job! Because - these are heavy and awkward to lift into place above the stove - for those who are do-it-yourselfers. The old back wall mount worked perfectly. The top screw mounts are in different locations and need to be redrilled - minor difference, but have your drill ready. We have loved this convection oven and microwave - so a perfect match replacement is just what we wanted! Read more

The first microwave shipped was damaged. Second one was fine. I had to get this model because it fits perfectly into the space my older model fit. I(My older model lasted about 10+ years!) t's a great microwave with all the bells and whistles. But I really wish it had back lighting on the control panel. At night, you have to turn on the kitchen lights to see the panel options. Installing is definitely a two-man job. Read more

When it was delivered the box was torn up and taped up. They said you could take or refuse it. UPS would not let us open to see if product was okay unless we took it. We kept it and opened after they had left. It was broken to the point that if you tried to lift out of box the front and sides came out and the main oven stayed in the box. IT WAS BROKEN. We had one of the same kind in black for 5 years. It was excellent. As my husband said the must have thrown the box down stairs. Can't believe it was all busted. Read more

The main reason I give the lower stars is the new way of setting the cook time/settings. They have gone back to a dial instead of the keypad most are used to using. I'm assun=ming they have a good reason, but I really don't like it. The only reason I bought this model was to keep all of the appliances in the same 'style" of GE Profile. Read more

Had this about a week. Was in perfect shape out of the box. I do not like the control design. Not obvious. Annoying to set specific microwave time to cook. Controls REALLY should have a very red “OFF” button Read more

We lurched this as a replacement for the exact same model. The previous model was extremely accurate and made wonderful bread. The new model requires a lot of turning to ensure overall cooking accuracy. The side of food next to the fan browns faster and can get dark if you don’t rotate the food. Read more
