Super bright! Transformed my home from a depressing bat cave to light and cheery! I “splurged” on these nicer bulbs to use all over my house to enjoy the 1600 lumens per bulb I’m now basking in. I upgraded from a cheapo Giant Eagle brand that use 6 watts (at a very sad 450 lumens) and Amazon brand that use 9 watts (probably fine for normal people at 800 lumens) - although both said they were 60W equivalent but they were so dim! I obsessively researched lumens and color temperature and ran the total other direction toward these 100W equivalents that use 15 watts in soft-white. Holy moly the difference is CRAZY! These were actually bright enough to replace the two overhead lights in the garage. Two are on a dimmer switch and sometimes they buzz, especially on a mid setting. Could be the cheap dimmer, the fixture, the old wiring, and/or probably just something dimmable bulbs do on mid settings. Read more

These light bulbs cast a warm light, and so far have held up very well. In the past I've had other bulbs that burned out quickly. There's not much more that I want in a light bulb then to be comfortable while I am using it and for the bulb to last a long time. Read more
The lightbulbs are great, but the two boxes I ordered were shipped in a plastic bag. The boxes are crushed and I wonder if the bulbs will fail sooner due to the damage they received during shipping. Read more
I used to avoid GE light bulbs, which were markedly more expensive than other brands. Then, I started to notice that my no-brand bulbs were sometimes hard to screw. At other times, the bulb base was a bit too short to make contact with the bottom of the socket. More seriously, I had once the opportunity to compare side-by-side a GE bulb with a generic of the same wattage, and the difference in light output (lumens) was stark. The generics were not delivering the lumens they promised. So, I grudgingly resolved to buy only GE brand, and I am glad I did. I am now getting much more light for my money. Read more
