I ordered the 2 1/2" HDD for my laptop but I want to comment due to the fact that the seller was very friendly and his service was beyound reproach. Although I did receive this 3 1/2" HDD quickly, the seller replaced it with the 2 1/2" and it works flawlessly. I have had 25 yrs experience with computers and have run the gauntlet on customer service and this seller is worth praise. Because of his quick professional approach in handling my delimma; I believe that purchasing this product would be worth while. Bought for a friend whos hard drive was having failing sectors, much better with a new disk, definitely would buy again when in a pinch for a spinning hard drive at the right price. Read more

I got it and plugged it into my tower. It works good. It is quiet and still works after sometime being used. Next time I will will get same type just more GB. This is for a tower or desktop computer. It plugs in and works right away on my system. Windows PC. Read more

Ordered 3 of the 250GB drives and all three were defective. Two made clicking / grinding sounds and would not allow me to erase / format or partition. The third would not spin (I have an eternal drive dock) at all. Amazon issued a refund and a paid-UPS pickup. However I needed this today to install into 3 empty drive bays for a customer and now am stuck telling them it will be several more days. Read more

I am not upset, but it should be advertised that these are USED drives. The one I got in was already formatted with HP recovery partition and Windows 7 OS partition. Each had the data removed, but this indicates it was previously used or at least programmed for a new pc. Again for the price paid I could care less if it was used. I just think it should be advertised as such. Read more

Great storage for a small amount of money. (If you buy this for the PS3, make sure you get a mounting bracket - the Sabrent bracket for about $7 worked great.) Read more
