I got him for my Halloween displays and he works perfectly. The ghost is very cute and his hat is a nice, vibrant purple. It's USB so easy to operate and recharge, no batteries are needed. The touch controls are VERY light and easy to change brightness/turn on-off when just holding the light. So he works best if you put him somewhere and leave him be. My daughters other nightlight died and so we ordered this ghost. The main thing she likes is that it isnt super bright but bright enough to provide some light while she's falling asleep. It also has the option for 30 minute timer.
