It fits perfectly on a nightstand, and delivers good sound for it's size. I use it to play podcasts for my boys at night. My youngest carries it around as a nightlight, good thing it has pretty long battery life. After being knocked around by my rambunctious kiddos the light did stop working but the sound never stopped. I gave my kids the option to pick out clocks for their rooms. My 5-year-old picked this. Well, it arrived and it became everyone's favorite night light/clock/alarm. My other kids wanted it too. The sound was much better than I expected, the color changing options, size and lithium battery made it a hit. It doesn't have to be constantly plugged in.
