I love these slippers, that being said they do have a couple design flaws. I've had my slippers since early 2018. In the first six months I noticed significant wear on the tab that wraps around the sole and sits under your heel. The seller was accommodating and gave me a $10 credit in late 2018 due to the premature wear. Since then I have been wearing these daily, so I've definitely had my money's worth. It's now March 2020, the wool sole on the interior is starting to wear out as well as some of the rubber coating on the bottom. Due to the heavy wear I'd expect this by this point. As I mentioned I love this slipper and really did not want to replace them since everything else was holding up well. I decided to buy a wool insert that you can cut to size and use as an insole. Had I done this sooner I think the wear on the insoles could have been mitigated. I bought this wool cut to fit insole which I highly recommend, they have given my favorite slippers new life! I'm realistic and don't expect them to last forever, but I think it's possible to get another couple years out of them now. When I buy my next pair of Geisswein's, I'll be buying a wool insole for them at the beginning of their life to see if it improves wear over time.
