I'm not very flexible anymore, and grooming my toenails with cutting-type tools has become downright dangerous, especially considering my diabetes. My podiatrist recommended that I file all my nails, and even use files to work on rough, calloused spots. Great idea, doc! But I couldn't find any files up to the task. A dear friend recommended these glass files that she'd purchased from Amazon. At such a reasonable price, what did I have to lose? They worked great on my fingernails, smoothing away the rough edges with truly minimal effort. Then I attacked my gnarly toenails - very little effort required for perfectly smooth toenails! A must have for yourself but makes a nice gift too. My first experience with this type of glass nail file was a Perfect Formula set which I love and still have. These are very close to that same quality, but not quite as fine. The value for the money is worth it anyway. Once you try these you'll NEVER go back to those caveman grit files. I love that the foot file is included as well as the cuticle stick. The small towel with hanging loop is a nice touch too. This is the only set you'll ever need for mani/pedi care and if you don't drop them you'll have them forever because they don't wear out. I can't speak to the durability of these, but my PF set I have dropped on linoleum several times and they are fine. I hope these are just as durable. The nail file will not ruin your nails or your polish, and the foot file makes quick work of calloused skin safely with no soaking required. I stole the cuticle stick and smallest nail file and gifted this to my friend who is too lazy to put much effort into mani/pedi care. Not all glass files are created equal! These files or top quality and when used, give my nails a smooth finish on the ends, not rough. I have never found any callus remover to so effectively remove the calluses from my feet. The key is to use this when your feet are wet. These are the best! Read more

I purchased a set for myself and for my daughter. The colors are beautiful!! They are of a lovely translucent glass, though the handles are a clear colored glass. Despite being made of glass, they are of a thickness that is appropriate for the job. There is a coarse side and a fine side. They do a fabulous job of removing dead skin both wet and dry!! I’m a rock climber and nails calluses are always a hassle to maintain for me. The product is sturdy and feels like a quality item. I would buy again. There are coarse and fine grids.
