Lightweight, super sharp, well balanced, and feels good in my hand. Love the one piece construction. Only thing I don't like about it is the same complaint I have about 99.9% of knives: the top edge near the handle where my index finger lays is square, so it builds up a pretty good callus there with lots of chopping. I'm a massage therapist and don't like calluses on my hands. Only knife I've found with a round finger grip is my Shun Edo, which sadly has been discontinued. I don't understand why more knives don't use this very helpful design feature. Read more

I had a Global G-2 knife for several years before getting this. Got this as a second knife. It's an inch shorter than the G-2. I like the balance of this knife more than I like the G-2 knife. Love this knife. Perfect length and shape for every day use and it's great at multitasking. I'm not a chef so I don't use a different knife for different food items.
