Glomarts Round Wooden Silent Desk Alarm Clock with Nightlight

I started by giving this clock 3.5 stars, but on further consideration needed to bring it up to 5. Although I have never used it as an alarm clock, it has never failed me as a clock short of my own abuse to it. I am a mental health clinician and carry it with me between sessions. My favorite thing about this clock is that it is truly silent, and therefore not disruptive. It is also light and looks very nice, as it is made of real wood and glass. My issue is probably unique, since I doubt most people carry this clock around all day - it doesn't hold up well to being dropped, which tends to happen about once a month. Without fail the battery cover will fall off (sometimes without actually being dropped), so I keep that taped on. Eventually a fall will be severe enough that either the clock mechanism will break or the hands will get out of whack. This happened yesterday, and I showed up at a meeting one hour early! That said, this is sold as a DESK clock, which implies that it is not designed to be carted around everywhere. If I were to treat it as a desk clock, I highly doubt that it would take suicidal leaps to the floor of its own accord. This is my first review on Amazon lol. Anyways, I bought this clock because of its decent star rating and nice aesthetic quality. The light feature, and rising alarm are all very nice. They work well and work as intended. The reason I am giving this one star is because the clock doesn't tell time correctly. I've put three new batteries into it, but this clock only travels fifteen minutes when in reality thirty minutes have passed. I'm thinking I received a defect however, given the number of people who seemed satisfied with the clock. Anyways, disappointing! complete waste of $12. Read more

I received the clock quickly and in perfect condition, and it was as expected based on the description and reviewers' feedback. I really like this clock. The case is actual wood and it looks high quality, although I don't know what type of wood it is. The construction seems solid and the face is easy to read, even though the clock isn't very large. The alarm is on the quiet side which I found to be fine, but may not work for others. The alarm is one of those that starts with slow beeps and gets progressively faster. With regards to the battery, I saw comments that it sticks out and you can't close the cover; but there are actually two small flanges to keep the battery in place and you need to push the battery down to set it in place and the cover closes fine. The button on the top turns on the light and is also the alarm sleep button. The one downside that others have mentioned is the alarm on/off switch is a small black lever on the back which looks similar to the other black buttons on the back, so I marked the back w/a Sharpie to better see the OFF position. We have 4 of these clocks, purchased over the course of 2 years, so we definitely like them. I have 4 basic requirements for an alarm clock for the home: - silent (no ticking) - easy to read (don't need to put on glasses) - no light until you need it (clocks with bright dials or numbers keep me awake) - alarm is easy to set and to stop and wakes me up This clock does all those things and looks nice to boot, which no LED electronic clock has ever done. The quality of the manufacturing is not very good. One of the 4 didn't work out of the box, but it's a pretty simple thing and we were able to take it apart and fix it. They have all worked well since then. We ordered the last 2 after that experience, so it didn't dissuade us. They're pretty cheap, so it's perhaps not that surprising. Read more

I originally ordered this clock in December of 2016 - and I LOVED it. It's perfect bedside-size, totally silent, and the small light is perfect for when you wake up in the middle of the night and want to see the time without having to look at lit-up numbers all night. The wood exterior is beautiful. I was an all-around happy customer. Then, in November of 2017, the clock stopped keeping time. I changed the batteries... twice. I still couldn't get it to keep time. I reached out to the seller, Singeek, and explained my disappointment. Singeek responded in less then 24 hours, apologized for the defective item, and promptly send a replacement clock. I receive the new clock 3 days later and am happy to have a functioning clock by my bedside again. I love the look and the size of the clock. The wood case is great. The light is bright and works perfectly. The time and alarm are easy to set, easy to read, and the clock is blissfuly quiet. BUT, after a few months the clock starts losing time and then simply stops working. No amount of fresh batteries will coax the clock back to life. I've purchased 3 of these clocks, and after varying amounts of time (all under 9 months) each of the clocks has failed. So until the manufacturer corrects the problem, DO NOT BUY THIS CLOCK! Read more
