This dog mat is exactly what we needed it to be. Great value, the quality for the price is fair. Easy to roll up and travel with, easy to throw in the wash and clean or even give a quick shake when it gets wet or dirty (camping/beach life). There’s not a lot of padding it is a mat not a bed, just as described! This has worked wonderfully while we’re in training with our puppy. It’s his “place” so its main purpose is as a training tool but he also finds comfort in it when we’re out or just hanging around the house. As for waterproof, it’s mostly water proof. A small spill or water bowl drool with roll off of your shake it off quick. We’ve also used it in the snow and it’s been holding up great and not getting soaked. We chose this travel dog bed to use during our dog's obedience class. It's soft, and comfortable, and it's her away from home go-to space. When the grass has been damp, I've sat on it with her, so I don't get wet! The mat is not too heavy, rolls up like a yoga mat, and has a handle that makes it easy to carry. We like to take it with us on hikes and to the beach so she has her special place to lay down and rest. When the pad needs cleaning, I shake off any sand or dirt, remove any solid matter with a paper towel, and run the bed through the wash. I usually hang it to dry, but I have put it through the dryer a couple of times on low heat. Either way, it comes out looking and smelling great. I bought the bed for her class, but I've also used it on our floor, the couch, in her crate, and to cover the back seat of the car. My favourite place mat out of the few I rotate through. This one stays in the car ready to go and has even come on a road trip. It's been easy to clean and has handled various weather! Gives my dog a comfy place to lay during outings or travel and can be great to practice some behavioural skills outdoors. It's pretty soft in my opinion and she loves it! Read more
