Not blue glass...just painted blue

Purchased three sets of these glasses in September 2025. These are beautiful glasses, heavy weight and appeared to be of good quality. And they clearly state in the description that they are dishwasher safe. After a few months of use, I started noticing a change in the color and realized that this is not actually blue glass but instead is clear glass that has been painted blue and after only a few months of use and running through the dishwasher, the paint has started to peel off. It appears that the paint is on the exterior so I hope this means that we haven't been ingesting particles of this paint but I can't be sure of that either. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed and of course, I'm well outside of the return period. I plan to contact Amazon to see if I have any recourse at this point but given what I paid for these...$24.99 for a set of 4...I feel these should have held up longer than 3 months. Read more
