The towels were packaged nicely. They did have a strange smell to them when I opened them but it went away after I laundered them. I bought them specifically for hair towels at home because I like a separate towel for my hair after showering. These are the perfect size and they are absorbent and thin enough to stay in my head without feeling like I’m carrying a huge weight on it. They washed up nicely, I do recommend drying them twice, cleaning the lint trap in between and then drying them again on low heat to pull the excess lint off of them. My lint catcher was really full both times. They didn’t leave any lint behind on my face or hair after drying twice. I will be buying these again after these wear out. They usually last me about a year or longer because I do use bleach on them. They do have a tendency to wear our faster with liquid bleach but for the price per towel I’m satisfied with the quality and the amount of time they are useful. After they become older I cut them into smaller sections and use them for cleaning rags and shop towels. At this point they are only hand washed and hung dry as the woven cotton frays easily. So the price point and duality of the towels are pretty economical. There were others I could have chosen for a better price, however the fabric content was not as heavy on the cotton end as these. Horrible purchase! I ordered the box of 84 white bath towels for $184. The only plus was they were delivered for free. The smell of these towels are horrific! I purchased them to place on the outside of the homeless boxes for our local mission here in Florida and I am ashamed to place them on the outside! You would think they would be of at least decent quality. I can see thru them. The seams aren’t sewn well and they aren’t absorbent. I washed 2 of them and the seams started ripping down the side and the tags from the manufacturer started ripping out also. BUYER BEWARE! Do your homework and shop around. Anywhere Walmart, even there least expensive towel will be better than these towels! I found a sale at a retailer here and for 40 cents more per towel out these it shame! Who’s to blame? The thread count or the stitching for absorbent is almost non existent. It’s my fault. I won’t buy anymore towels without seeing , feeling and of course smelling them. Hope this helps the indecisive buyer. I should have called Amazon and asked for a refund, even if it meant having someone load them up. I’m disabled and can’t life the box. Had to roll it into my house when UPS dropped it on my porch. That was the highlight of this story. Maybe they will give me a refund! I would truly be happy abiut that. These are very inexpensive towels for washing your dog .or taking to gym or for general cleaning. These are very common in nursing homes where use is one time and sent down to wash. These are not heavy quality. They are for general use and if you lose one or damage one it not a big deal. Overall very good for price and use. Read more
