I bought these socks for my dad and they are extremely high quality! He couldn’t keep them because they went too high up his leg, but they are some of the nicest men’s socks I’ve ever bought. These are listed as a crew sock but I’d call these an extended-length crew (at least for the size 13s) — they are longer than the crew socks he’s always worn. He’s looking for a replacement for the 100% acrylic socks he’s worn for decades because they stopped making them — they were a turn-cuff type sock (no elastic band at the top) that didn’t bind his leg at the top and his feet didn’t sweat in them. I don’t care how long it takes to get these socks, they are worth the wait. I couldn’t find them anywhere in town. My husband needs the larger size because of swollen ankles. They launder great and the variety of colors are perfect for his wardrobe. Read more
Good: Attractive. Good fit. Good value. Comfortable. Bad: As many other reviewers have noted, these are not as thick as the ankle-length Goldtoe socks they closely resemble. They work and work well, but I doubt they'll last as long as the shorter socks I bought a couple months ago. Bottom line: This is my third batch of Goldtoe socks. The material of these is definitely thinner than my other two sets, and I can't see a good reason for that. I've gotten about two years of wear out of the others; we'll see whether these are as durable. I'm not optimistic. Four stars; will update when these begin wearing out. Read more
These socks are fantastic. I’ve purchased similar sets of blue goldtoe socks from other retail outlets and these are much better. They have a higher quality feel and look to them.
