I have severe carpal issues and associated dexterity problems. I have tried many vertical mice. The "beaver tail" rest on this mouse, while odd looking, really helped me. Every other vertical mouse I tried required me to lift my wrist and squeeze to move the mouse. The tail, combined with the molded thumb rest, means I can move this mouse without having to lift my wrist or squeeze, which causes me far less stress. I can actually keep hold of this mouse with very light pressure from my thumb and little finger, and the motion now comes from my arm rather than my wrist. I also found the jumbo curved outline of this mouse helpful. My fingers have a permanent curve caused by the carpal, and with other "slimmer" profile vertical mice I'd get a lot of accidental clicks. I've tried 10-15 different ergo/vertical mice and this is the only one that seems to check every box. It's not as durably made as an Evoluent -- those are built like tanks -- but the shape of the mouse, as well as the wonderful magnetically-attached hand rest piece, allows me to use larger arm muscles in a way that the Evoluent can't. First one I received had a loose left button, but second one I received was perfect. Fits like a glove. Everyone's hand is different, and unfortunately that means that most people looking for an alternative mouse solution need to search and try over and over. This one fits beautifully in my case.
