These neon rope lights are truly awesome and a must-buy for anyone looking for custom ambient lighting. I got the 32.8ft set for my 14-year-old’s birthday, and they were a massive success! These lights are perfect if you’re not a “big light” person. We have ours set on a schedule: on in the morning and off when we leave, and it works flawlessly. The adhesive and screws provided make it easy to attach and angle the rope exactly how you want. The lights can do so many colors, brightness levels, and themes. You can control them with the Govee app, or through Apple HomeKit since it works as a Matter accessory. Super versatile and fun! Read more

After opening the box it can be a bit overwhelming, there’s a lot of small pieces and I got a bit overwhelmed — but, if you go on YouTube and search “Govee neon lights” there’s a 30 second video that really simplified the process for me! I am autistic and struggle with written instructions, so it was a great visual. I got the largest size and it wraps around my desk perfectly. These lights are incredibly bright and have tons of different color combinations / themes. You can also customize them individually and pick the colors you’d like to see. My favorite feature is definitely the music sync, it can seem a little too sensitive at first but there is a sound sensitivity slider in the app! I have the music box right behind my Echo, and it responds well. For the entire part of squiggles I didn’t use any of the bending connectors. I used the shortest ones and just made sure to have them shaped in a way where curving would be natural for them. I didn’t have a shape planned and just went for it. The heart bit at the end was a bit more complicated but I ended up using the straight clips for that part as well. Also, the screws would likely come in handy but I am in an apartment! The curved ones just kept falling off the wall and I believe it was because of the tension. These lights are definitely something you’ll have to play with for a bit to get them exactly how you want them, but it is 100% worth it! They’re very durable and insanely nice in terms of quality. The best LED’s you could find IMO (in my opinion). They connect to the Govee Home app as well as my Echo Show. 100% would recommend, just have some patience and trust the process! These are super bright, so I’d recommend blackout curtains in front of your window to avoid giving everyone outside a light show as well, haha. Amazing lights! Read more

I own a lot of Govee products (30+) and these are one of my favorites. They look great and function very well. Like most Govee products, setup and installation are pretty easy and simple except for the screws included with the mounting clips. They are easily the worst screws I’ve used. They strip extremely easily and are frustrating to work with. I tried multiple bits using both a drill and a screwdriver, and none worked particularly well but once everything was finally installed, they worked perfectly and look fantastic. Read more

Used these in my game room and currently in my living room to add some cool ambient lighting. I have one of the newer ones and one of the older models and the colors and brightness are not the same between the two, so keep that in mind. They do look super cool and are good quality. As far as installation goes, they are easy to install, but the mounting hardware could be better for corners, almost need something that can be screwed into the wall, because the tape doesn't cut it on the corners because of the tension from the light. One issue I have, is I set the strips so the parts that go behind my shelves and stuff are turned off so you don't see any wires, but they eventually end up resetting and the entire strip is lit up again which means I have to go into the app and change both strips again... kind of a pain. The media could not be loaded. About as good as you can get. Installation: ton of sticky/screw down slotted rails. If you're like me and want to freehand your design (don't), you'll want a roll of 3M VHB tape for enivitiable re-work. Brightness/color: excellent. The ARGBs are extremely fast and responsive. Colors are great, and the defusor is very good, so you don't see each individual led. They blend together very nicely. Build quality: exceptional. Very well protected from damage, and you can make some very sharp turns, given the diameter of the rope. Control: they have a tool that, uses your phone camera to map however you shape the lights. It takes 2-3 attempts, but it *nailed* mine perfectly on the third attempt. And this shape is kinda tricky, with sections of rope touching at few different points. Very impressive. Length: sketch your design on the wall first. No - stop. I know you're an engineer, and can totally free hand a circle with inscribed triangle and it'll magically measure exactly 32 ft 👀. pricey but a seamless ropelight, best quality out there and tough, bends every which way, syncs with alexa and does exactly what ask. the installation hardware is beyond aweful, but you gotta do what you gatta do. if youre a decent DYI person you make it look good. Read more
