This kit promises to sync RGB lights to your TV using a camera, creating a colorful, immersive experience, and it certainly delivers. First off, the installation process was surprisingly straightforward, both for the hardware and the software. It was a simple matter of following the instructions, and before I knew it, everything was set up. The kit comes with everything you need, making it quite user-friendly. But the ease of installation is just the beginning. The vibrancy, accuracy, and responsiveness of the colors this kit produces are absolutely top-notch. Whether I was watching a movie, playing a video game, or just chilling with some music videos, the Govee P1 DreamView Kit added a whole new level of visual enjoyment. Moreover, the Govee app offers limitless customization options, which I found to be a significant plus. You can play around with the settings until you get just the effect you’re looking for, making each viewing experience uniquely yours. I am so glad we purchased this Govee light set. I had been wanting to enhance our home television/movie experience with a backlit display, but was seeing how expensive certain brands were. Since a relative of mine had purchased the Govee brand before and was very happy, I decided to take a chance. Installation was easy and straightforward. Calibration was needed to ensure accuracy of the camera and TV handshake. Pairing the device to my WiFi was easy and made it so I could easily use the app to control the features and lighting displays. I was able to pair this to my Apple HomeKit homebridge set up so I can have Siri turn them on and off with my Apple TV Siri Remote or through my HomePods. I get so many compliments from guests when they come over and watch it and I cannot watch basic TV anymore without turning them on. They also provide a nice “night light” when watching TV that it doesn’t require me to turn on any lamps nearby any longer. The media could not be loaded. Yo I discovered this company a few years ago and I haven't gone away from them since their products are amazing and simple. I have bulbs in my bed room outdoor string blubs on my patio and led kit on my car and now these (plus many more). I can't say enough good things about this company. The app is BEAUTIFUL! the colors are bright and vibrant at night so easy to install and definitely good value for your money I've had lights that outlived my car. These are great! These lights look so good on my TV. Setup is mildly time consuming and annoying but I wouldn't say it's hard. All the parts seem of good quality. My one complaint with this setup has to do with the light bars. They recommend the bars be 20" from each side of the TV so it doesn't interfere with the color output, but if your TV is wall mounted and it's too high up from your media stand, the cord connecting the light bars to the rest of the govee setup will be too short to properly space them out. I'm sure I'll be able to fix this with a couple usb c extentions. That said, my light bars DO have an impact on the color output of the bottom corners of the led strips but after playing with the white balence and saturation in the settings, its not too noticeable, espically when you're actually watching something or playing a game. You would only really notice it if the screen was a solid white. I don't think I mentioned this earlier but what I mean by interference only applies if your light bars are too close and you are trying to use the color match setting where the govee camera is being used. Okay I lied I have one more small gripe with it. The led strips when you set them to match what's on the screen change colors in segments, not individual pixels. I wish the segments were at least a little smaller but the effect is still nice for what I spent on this (I think I got it on sale for ≈ $100) Overall I am happy with this product. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade their gaming experience. The app has A LOT of cool features. It's a little overdesigned in my opinion. It's almost like they tried to make it so user friendly, that it somehow had the opposite effect and became slightly less intuitive than youd expect. But once you get the hang of it you can really do a lot with the app. You can even sync up these lights to any other govee lights in your ecosystem. That's probably my favorite part. Works great with google assistant. Try watching something colorful with lots of pinks and blues and greens. The media could not be loaded. I have bought led strip lights before for my TV but nothing like this Goovee setup with the lights bars. So my features on the app from music sync, movie and gaming modes it really brings out anything you watch or listen to on your TV. We watch a lot of horror and Disney movies so to see the room change colors to match what's on screen is truly breathtaking. And the price was also too good of a deal to pass up, going to purchase another one for my daughters TV.
