Wow...what a cool antenna tripod! I had seen several positive reviews on YouTube and decided to give it a try. They were not wrong. Mount folds down into a small form factor making it easy to transport in your field backpack. It has a quality build that is durable and very functional. I love the newly included design to mount radials with the included spring loaded thumb screws that give a great connection. There are two included mounting inserts with connectors. Very happy with this purchase. Read more

its a very good tripod for portable operation with short vertical antennas. If you want to put up a taller antenna, you will have to use guys. It seems well made, and is easy to set up. Its a little heavier than I thought it would be -- but that's not problem for most portable ops. Read more

This is a brilliant piece of kit. Contstruction of all components is very high quality. I’ve traveled with it twice and it disappears into my bag, but provides a highly versatile deployment base when out. It is meant to be paired with the GRA-HF750T antenna set but, f there’s not too much wind and you splay the legs flat, it can actually support a 17-foot whip. Read more

Ordered this last week based on a YouTube review and I am NOT disappointed! It is amazing how small this tripod is when folded. The included carrying bag is about the size of a large grapefruit with all the parts inside. It comes with center sections for both 3/8-24 and SO-239 (UHF) connectors so it can be used with most portable antennas. I have tried it with the Wolf River Coils Sporty Forty with 213" whip, the BuddiStick Pro, and a couple of imported antennas. With the legs folded most of the way out sideways it is very stable. I carry guy lines for windy days but did not need them. The 213" WRC whip was stable even with a light breeze. The tripod comes with screws and the hardware necessary to make ground radials. I use radials with quick disconnects like test clips or PowerPole connectors. I was able to use the test clip radials with the screws and will make jumpers using the included lugs and PowerPole connectors for the other radials. Using the connector lugs that came with the tripod would work but I'm always looking for the fastest way to deploy an antenna. I have other tripods that are more stable but they are much larger and heavier. This tripod is perfect for POTA, SOTA, and other field deployments where size and weight are considerations. Unless you regularly deploy a vertical antenna in very windy conditions this tripod is a great addition to your portable ham gear. Read more
