Well, I set aside about 15 minutes to install these. However, I got them installed in about six minutes. And that included time to make sure that the bathroom tile was perfectly clean. These are well designed and very strong and they really grip to the tile. I was delighted to figure out that the length of these handholds is perfectly aligned with typical bathroom tile. Typically, grab bars of this type use a couple of strong suction cups for attachment to smooth walls. That's the case here so I was surprised that these suction cups also have a thin layer of self-adhesive film on them after removing the plastic protective covers. The weak instructions make no mention of this and perhaps the self-adhesive feature helps by adding additional strength or facilitates initial wall positioning. We'll see but I worry that the adhesive will make bar removal more difficult should that be necessary. Well built, sturdy and attached very strongly to my smooth, Corian shower walls. Clean wall with alcohol, remove clear plastic protective film on cups, press very firmly on wall and activate suction cups per instructions then feel safer in the shower. Read more
