Best frying pan I have ever owned. Can’t recommend this enough. Read more
Love this pan. Easy to use and easy to clean. Read more
Best nonstick pan I’ve bought. Heavy enough that it doesn’t tip over but so much lighter than cast iron. I have a set of titanium coated cookware that I like but this pan beats it hands down for nonstick. Read more
Arrived quickly and in good condition. Having cooked in every type of place, from dive bars to fancy upscale joints, I know my way around the kitchen. And I know cookware pretty well also. Wanting to try this fry pan out correctly, I heated it up on medium, placed two 1Lb. NY strip steaks in the pan and seared them for three minutes on each side. No sticking at all, and I used nothing except for a little butter. After searing on both sides for three minutes, I put the pan in a 450 degree oven for 6 minutes with a pat of butter and minced garlic over the top of each steak. They were cooked to perfectly medium, and the pan was so easy to clean. I wiped it down with a wet cloth to get the grease off, then used a sponge with some Dawn on it. The pan itself is heavy, with the handle welded onto it. This is not your big box store cookware. This is high end stuff here. Impressed enough to check to see what else Great Jones has to offer, I found they sell entire cookware sets that include everything from pots and pans to high end crock pots and Dutch ovens made out of cast iron. This particular fry pan is ceramic and stainless steel. Very well made, it will last a good long while if treated correctly. Use a wet sponge to clean and never use an abrasive scrubber. Cook everything from eggs and bacon to pork chops smothered in mushroom sauce in this baby and it will come out perfect every time. Just remember that do to it's construction, you don't need to heat this type of fry pan up quickly. Start out at medium heat to get things going, and after you place your meat in, if you feel you need more heat, then adjust. Pricey, but you know what, it's also impressive. Read more
Overall happy with this pan, there are a few spots that I’ve noticed are sticking a little more than they should be. But it’s very nice looking. Read more
I've been testing different non-stick pans. For decades, I've cooked without any non-stick pan in my kitchen, except my Gran's old cast iron skillet. I've been using 5 different non-stick skillets over the last year, and this one is a winner. I don't really understand why this skillet is not more popular! When I unpacked this skillet, the first thing I noticed is that the handle is welded to the pan. There are no rivets on the inside of the pan, so it's easy to stir food and makes cleanup much easier. The second thing I noticed is that this pan is much heavier than other non-stick skillets. It's not as heavy as my copper skillets, but still quite heavy. There is also no separate type of "base" welded or attached. The whole skillet is heavy, not just the base. The handle is two metal bars, which isn't a comfortable as a molded larger handle, but I think that's the trade for no metal rivets on the inside of the pan. This pan cooks like a dream. It's thickness is really a standout for non-stick pans. The pan has no hot spots, and food cooks evenly. I cooked cheesy eggs and I was able to cook these and clean up with basically a wipe of a paper towel. This Great Jones pan is oven safe to only 500 degrees, which is a bit below other pans (which are good to 550 usually). But, I don't usually see much difference between 500 and 550 degrees. I sear on the cooktop and then finish in the oven if anything, and usually just use 350 in the oven anyway. This is a great pan. For first impressions, and my expectation of how it will perform, I'm giving this pan 5 stars. I'll come back and update this review if the pan fails to live up to my high expectations over time. I cook for myself a lot, and a good nonstick pan is a must. This one has been great for my morning eggs. Nothing sticks to it, which makes flipping omelets or just frying a couple of eggs super simple. Clean-up is also really quick since everything just slides off. The handle feels solid and doesn't get hot on the stovetop. It's a good size for one or two servings. Read more
